Holafly, priced at last: six durations, no gigabytes, no network

We have read Holafly's prices, and this page has changed

An earlier version of this hub said that not one Holafly price on this site had been verified, and built its whole argument on that. That is no longer true and the argument has gone with it.

On 18 August 2026 we read esim.holafly.com directly, in USD, country by country. 168 of our 240 Holafly rows are now verified across 28 countries. The remaining 72 rows, covering 17 countries, are still the old unchecked figures, and the gap between the two halves is the most useful thing on this page — so keep reading past the prices.

Six durations, everywhere, and nothing else

Holafly sells 3, 5, 7, 10, 15 and 30 days. Not five of them in one country and seven in another: the same six lengths in all 28 countries we read, every one unlimited, with no gigabyte allowance attached to any of them.

This is why Holafly does not appear in our cheapest eSIM table. There is no 5 GB Holafly plan to set against a 5 GB Airalo plan and no cost-per-gigabyte figure to sort it by. That is the product working as designed, not a hole in our data — a point the old version of this page never quite made, because it did not know the shape well enough to make it.

It is also absent from three of the biggest markets we cover. We hold no Holafly rows at all for Australia, Thailand or the United States.

What it costs

Most of Europe and East Asia is priced identically. Sixteen countries — Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Indonesia, Ireland, Japan, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Sweden, Turkey, the United Kingdom and Vietnam — share one ladder to the cent:

That $73.90 month turns up in 17 of the 28 countries once South Korea, which differs only at three days, is counted in.

This is worth pausing on, because on the eSIM Go page a repeated figure is our evidence of fabrication. Here it is not, and the difference is the source: these came off Holafly's own checkout, one country at a time. What repetition tells you about Holafly is that it does not price by market at all. It runs zones. Norway and Indonesia cost the same because Holafly has decided they are the same tier, not because their wholesale costs match.

Outside those zones the spread is wide:

India costs 73% more than Spain for the identical product. If you are choosing between destinations, that is a real number; if you are not, it means the Holafly price you saw quoted for one trip tells you very little about the next one.

It is dearer than a checked rival almost everywhere

Airalo and Nomad sell unlimited plans too, and theirs are verified as well, so this is now a comparison between prices that have all been read rather than guessed at.

Across every country and duration where Holafly and a verified rival sell the same length, Holafly is the more expensive option 149 times, level 4 times and cheaper 7 times. In Germany its month is $73.90 against Airalo's verified $59. In Spain, $64.50 against $63. In Japan, $73.90 against $69. In India, $111.90 against Airalo's verified $99.

The seven wins are worth naming precisely, because they are small and they are real: Canada at 3, 10 and 15 days ($17.90, $34.90 and $44.90, each ten to a hundred cents under Nomad or Airalo), Argentina at 3 and 5 days, Colombia at 7 days and India at 3 days. If your trip is one of those, Holafly is the cheapest verified unlimited plan available — by about a dollar.

Everywhere else you are paying a premium of a few dollars for the same thing. What that premium buys is a simpler catalogue and, by most accounts, a smoother app. It does not buy coverage information, for the reason below.

It publishes no host network — and neither does anyone else

Our Holafly rows used to name real operators where Airalo's and Saily's sat blank, and this site treated that as Holafly's one clear advantage.

It was our advantage, not Holafly's. We read the country pages on the same visit as the prices. They name no carrier at all. The Austrian page offers nothing more specific than "Fast and reliable coverage" — no A1, no Magenta, no Drei, all three of which our own rows had attributed to Holafly's listing. Every other country page was the same.

Those entries had already looked wrong. Several arrived visibly cut off mid-word — "TIM / Vodafone Italy / WindT", "Orange France / SFR / Bouygu" — which is text truncated by a character cap, exactly what generated prose does and nothing like what reading a page produces.

So Holafly is not the exception this page once made it. Not one seller whose own site we have read publishes the network its plans roam onto. If you need a particular carrier, nothing on this site will get it for you.

The 72 rows we have not checked, and why they look wrong

Seventeen countries are still on the old figures: Albania, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Finland, Hungary, Iceland, New Zealand, the Philippines, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Africa and the United Arab Emirates.

Do not use them. Now that we know the real shape, they fail on sight. They contain 1-day plans, 20-day plans, 25-day plans and 90-day plans — Holafly sells none of those lengths in any country we have read. They put $99 for 90 days in the Czech Republic and Finland, a duration that does not exist. They name carriers for almost every country, which Holafly does not do. Finland has eight rows where the real catalogue has six.

The verified countries had the same problem before we checked them. Japan was recorded here as a 1-day plan at $3.99 and a 5-day at $18.90; the real ladder has no 1-day plan at all and starts at 3 days for $11.90. The old data was not merely off on price — it was wrong about what Holafly sells.

Treat those 17 countries as unknown rather than approximate. The pattern says the errors are structural, not a few percent.

Where it fits

Short, heavy trips where you will not tether. Trips of three to seven days with unpredictable use are what duration pricing is for, and at that length the few dollars between Holafly and Airalo are not worth the comparison shopping. Canada, Argentina, Colombia and India at the short end are the cases where it is also the cheapest checked option.

For a month it is harder to justify twice over. Airalo's verified unlimited month undercuts it in almost every country, and a verified Airalo 50 GB metered plan at $29 to $45 across most of Europe covers ordinary use for well under half of $73.90. Unlimited plans also carry a daily fair-use cap that is not in the headline price — read Holafly's before you buy on the strength of the word "unlimited".
