Holafly in Serbia: six unlimited plans, all of them the dearest

Six plans, all unlimited data, no capped option at any size. These prices were read off Holafly's own site on 18 August 2026.

A correction, and it reverses this page. We previously listed three Serbian plans — five days at $19, ten at $36.90, twenty-five at $68.90 — and told you Holafly undercut Airalo by $8.50 at five days and was "in a different league" at the long end. None of that survives. There is no 25-day plan; Holafly sells 3, 5, 7, 10, 15 and 30 days. Five days is $27.90, not $19. And the month is $106.50 against Airalo's $95, so the long end runs the other way by $11.50.

Serbia is one of Holafly's most expensive countries — its $106.50 month is beaten only by Albania, India and South Africa.

One structural point that has not changed: there is no small Holafly plan for Serbia. The cheapest way onto Holafly here is $18.90, while the cheapest way onto a Serbian eSIM at all is Saily's verified $3.99 for 1GB over a week. If your trip needs maps and messaging rather than volume, Holafly is not competing for your money.

Unlimited against unlimited

Airalo sells unlimited Serbia data under its Serbia Mobile tier, and Nomad sells two lengths. All three ladders below were read at source.

Airalo is cheaper at all six — by 40 cents at three days, and by $6.90 and $11.50 at the two longest. Nomad is cheapest at five days and the dearest of the three at ten. If you have decided you want unlimited in Serbia, Airalo is the one to price first.

Where a capped plan quietly wins

The harder question is whether you want unlimited at all. Serbia's cheapest bulk data is Nomad's verified 50GB over 30 days at $35, with Airalo's 50GB at $49 behind it. Either undercuts Holafly's unlimited month by $57.50 or $71.50.

For unlimited to be the better buy you would have to burn more than 50GB in a month — roughly 1.7GB a day, every day. That is video, not maps. Ordinary travel use — navigation, messaging, a few uploads, some hotel-free evenings on your phone — does not get close.

The honest split is this. Under about 20GB across the trip, buy capped and pocket the difference: Nomad's 20GB month is $21 and Airalo's 10GB month is $18. Above 50GB, or if you genuinely do not want to think about a meter, buy Airalo's unlimited rather than Holafly's, because it is cheaper at every window.

Two limits worth knowing before checkout

Holafly's Serbia plans do not support hotspot tethering. If a laptop or a travelling companion's phone needs to share the connection, this is the wrong product — and it is the reason a nominally unlimited plan can still leave you stuck.

There are also no calls or SMS. That is normal for travel eSIMs, and WhatsApp and the rest work fine over data, but it matters more in Serbia than in most places: a local prepaid SIM here costs about $14 at the airport and comes with a Serbian number, which is genuinely useful when a guesthouse or a car hire desk wants to ring you. The trade is your passport — Serbian prepaid registration requires photo ID, while an eSIM requires none.

Network and coverage: less certain than it looks

Holafly names no carrier for Serbia. Our data used to attribute A1, Yettel and mts to it, but that came out of older generated copy rather than Holafly's site, and Holafly publishes no host network for Serbia or for any country we have read. No provider's Serbian host network has been confirmed from source, so do not let a carrier name decide your purchase.

That matters because Serbia's coverage gaps are real: the remote Stara Planina mountains, some deep stretches of the Djerdap Gorge, and very rural villages in the south. The Kosovo border area runs on a separate network, so treat a Serbia plan there as an open question.
