Madagascar eSIM prices start at $4.30 a gigabyte, and a week of 10 GB is the floor
13 Airalo plans read off airalo.com on 8 October 2026, from $4.30 to $7.00 a gigabyte. One seller only.
What does an eSIM Madagascar plan cost?
Every price on this page comes from Airalo, and only from Airalo. We hold 13 Madagascar plans, each read off airalo.com on 8 October 2026. We have not priced Saily, Holafly, Nomad, eSIMCard or eSIM Go for Madagascar, so this is one seller's list, not a ranking of the market, and we make no claim about the best option across sellers. A Madagascar eSIM works as a Madagascar travel SIM that you install before you fly, so it is worth checking the Madagascar data plan prices below against roaming.
The cheapest gigabyte is $4.30, from 10 GB over 7 days at $43. The dearest metered rate is $7.00, from 1 GB over 3 days at $7. Every plan carries the Airalo product name Madacom, and the metered ladder stops at 10 GB.

Which Madagascar eSIM size should I buy?
Three days. 3 GB at $17. A week. 5 GB at $27 or 10 GB at $43; the 10 GB plan costs $16 more and gives you the best rate. A month. 10 GB over 30 days at $45, only $2 above the 7-day version. Going uncapped costs $39.50 for a week, so skip it unless you need it.
Is a local SIM an alternative?
A traveller's guide we read on 8 October 2026 names three operators, Orange Madagascar, Yas (formerly Telma) and Airtel, all with offices at Antananarivo's Ivato airport. For Orange and Yas it says to bring the original passport, not a copy, and that Yas may photograph you. Airtel registration was inconsistent at street vendors. It does not confirm local eSIM offers, so we do not state them. We have not priced a local SIM, so we cannot say if it beats these rates.
What we do not know
Airalo publishes no host network, so we cannot say which carrier the plan uses. Coverage outside the cities is untested by us.
Where does this fit in the wider picture?

Common questions
What is the cheapest eSIM for Madagascar?
On Airalo, 10 GB over 7 days at $43, or $4.30 a gigabyte, the lowest of 13 plans verified on 8 October 2026. We have not priced other sellers in Madagascar.
Do I need my passport for a SIM in Madagascar?
A traveller's guide says yes, bring the original passport; a copy was refused at Orange. Registration was inconsistent at Airtel street vendors. That is one account, so check current rules. A travel eSIM avoids the counter, though we have not tested the process.
Is there an unlimited Madagascar eSIM?
Airalo lists uncapped plans for 3, 5, 7 and 10 days, from $19.50 to $46.50. There is no longer uncapped plan in our data, so a month-long trip needs a metered one.
Which network does the Madagascar eSIM use?
Airalo does not publish it and our data has none. Madacom is Airalo's retail product name. We cannot say whether it runs on Orange, Yas or Airtel, so we do not.
