Panama sells two eSIM products, and the dearer one holds the cheapest plan

One seller, two products, twenty-eight prices
All the figures here come from Airalo, and only from Airalo. Twenty-eight plans, each read off airalo.com on 17 August 2026. We have priced no other seller in Panama — not Saily, Holafly, Nomad, eSIMCard or eSIM Go — so treat this as one company's price list rather than a survey of the market. If a page claims to know the best eSIM for Panama across every seller, ask where it read the numbers.
What makes Panama unusual in our data is that Airalo sells two separate Panamanian products, Pancell Digital and Pancell Digital Plus, with overlapping sizes and different prices. Both names are Airalo's own retail branding for its Panama eSIMs; neither is a mobile network. Our data holds their sizes, durations and prices, and nothing about what the second one adds over the first. We are not going to guess at the difference.
The rate runs from $2.85 to $13.50
The cheapest gigabyte in Panama is $2.85, from the Digital Plus 20 GB plan over 15 days at $57. The dearest is $13.50, from the Digital Plus 1 GB plan over 3 days at $13.50 flat. Between those two sits a 4.7-fold spread, all from the same company on the same day.
Both ends are expensive by the standards of the rest of this site. Thailand's verified floor is $0.55 a gigabyte and Austria's is $0.58. Argentina, at $2.35, was the dearest country we held anywhere before this round of checks, and Panama's best rate is above it. The $11.50 that 1 GB costs here is about twenty times a Thai gigabyte.

Uncapped plans exist in the Digital range only — $28 for 3 days, $40 for 5, $52 for 7, $54 for 10, $69.50 for 15 and $140.50 for 30. The Plus range has none at all.
Neither range goes above 20 GB. There is no 50 GB Panama plan in our data, from either product. That is worth flagging because in most countries we cover, the 50 GB plan over 30 days exists and is reliably the cheapest rate on the list — the usual advice is simply to buy the biggest one. Here the biggest metered plan is 20 GB, and that is where the floor sits.
Two quirks in that table
The Plus range is dearer at every size except one. Compare the two columns and Digital Plus costs more, row after row: $2 more at 1 GB, $3 more at 3 GB, $3.50 more at 5 GB, $4.50 to $11 more at 10 GB. Then at 20 GB over 15 days it inverts — $57 against $61, a $4 saving — and that single row is the cheapest gigabyte in the country. The best-value plan in Panama comes from the range that loses on every other comparison. At 20 GB over 30 days the order flips back, $71 against $64.
A shorter window can cost more. In the Plus range, 10 GB over 7 days is $57.50 while 10 GB over 15 days is $52.50. You pay $5 extra for eight fewer days. There is no reading of that which favours the buyer, and it is the clearest argument on this page for checking the whole list before you click. Whatever the reason, nobody should buy the first of those two.
The 5 GB band is the trap
Every 5 GB plan in Panama, in both ranges, lands between $8.00 and $9.30 a gigabyte. The 10 GB plans in the Digital range land between $4.65 and $5.00. Buying 10 GB over 7 days at $46.50 costs $6.50 more than buying 5 GB over 7 days at $40, and doubles the data.
Small plans are worse still. 1 GB over 3 days is $11.50 in the Digital range — roughly a quarter of what 10 GB costs over a week. If your trip is short and your usage light, that may still be the right purchase, but it is the worst rate on the list and it is worth knowing that going in.
What to buy, by trip length
Two or three days. 1 GB at $11.50 if you genuinely need very little. 3 GB over 3 days at $25 otherwise. The 3-day uncapped plan at $28 costs $3 more than that 3 GB one, and removes the question of running out.
A week. 10 GB over 7 days at $46.50 in the Digital range. The uncapped week at $52 is $5.50 above it. Skip the 5 GB plans and skip the Plus 10 GB seven-day plan at $57.50 entirely.
A fortnight. 20 GB over 15 days at $57 in the Plus range — the cheapest rate in Panama, and the one row where Plus undercuts Digital. The uncapped 15-day plan at $69.50 is $12.50 more.
A month. 20 GB over 30 days at $64 in the Digital range, which is $7 below the same size and window in the Plus range. The uncapped month at $140.50 is the most expensive plan in our Panama data, and hard to justify against $64.
What we do not know
Airalo publishes no host network for its eSIMs, in Panama or in any other country. All twenty-eight rows have an empty network field. We cannot name a Panamanian carrier for these plans, and we are not going to infer one from a product name.
We have also not researched local SIMs in Panama — no prices, no registration rules, no advice on where to buy. That research has not been done, so this page says nothing about it rather than filling the space.

Is there a 50 GB plan for Panama?
