What does an eSIM for Kuwait cost, and who did we price?

Seventeen Kuwait eSIM plans from Airalo, every one read off airalo.com on 8 October 2026. We have priced only Airalo here. We have not priced Saily, Holafly, Nomad, eSIMCard or eSIM Go for Kuwait, so this is one seller's list, not a survey, and we make no claim about the best eSIM across sellers. How much does the rate change with size?

The rate runs from $4.50 a gigabyte at 1 GB over 3 days down to $1.85 at 20 GB over 15 days, a 2.4-fold spread inside one seller's own list. Bigger plans are cheaper per gigabyte; the largest metered plan we hold is 20 GB.

Validity moves the price less than size does, but not always trivially. 3 GB costs $9 to $9.50 depending on the validity window; 5 GB costs $13.50 to $14.50 depending on the validity window; 10 GB costs $23 to $24.50 depending on the validity window; 20 GB costs $37 to $38 depending on the validity window. The widest gap within one size is $1.50.

Is an eSIM worth it for Kuwait, or should you use roaming or a local SIM?

We have not priced roaming from US carriers or local SIMs for Kuwait, so we cannot tell you which is cheaper. The honest comparison needs your carrier's international day-pass price, which you can look up in a minute. What we can say is what the Kuwait eSIM looks like on price: a cheap Kuwait data plan costs $1.85/GB at its best rate, and 1 GB costs $4.50. If your carrier's roaming pass beats those numbers for your days, use that.

Kuwait has three mobile operators: Zain, Ooredoo and stc, according to a travel guide we read today, which calls Zain the largest. The same guide says a passport is a legal requirement when registering a physical SIM, and that travel eSIMs have no local number. Its author reports that the Airalo and aloSIM eSIMs she tested ran on Zain, and found Airalo slower than aloSIM. That is one traveller's test, not Airalo's statement, and Airalo itself publishes no host network, so treat it as a hint rather than a fact.

What to know before you buy a Kuwait travel SIM

Install the eSIM before you leave if the seller allows it, and check that your phone is carrier-unlocked and supports eSIM. Airalo's page for the country is the authority on the plan's current price and terms: Airalo's Kuwait page. Our figures are a snapshot from 8 October 2026 and can change.

For how Kuwait sits against other countries and sellers, see the cheapest eSIM plans, the provider comparison, the Middle East guide and Airalo. We explain how we gather data on how we test. This is desk research from public sources; we did not test the plans on a phone.
