Thirteen Airalo plans read off airalo.com on 8 October 2026, in US dollars. The rate runs from $3.90 a gigabyte (10 GB over 7 days at $39) up to $7.00 (1 GB over 3 days at $7).

What does an eSIM for Brunei cost, and who are we pricing?

All the figures on this page come from Airalo, and only from Airalo, in US dollars. We read 13 plans off airalo.com on 8 October 2026; the Brunei page was checked on 2026-10-08. We have priced no other seller in Brunei: not Saily, Holafly, Nomad, eSIMCard or eSIM Go. So this is one company's price list for the Brunei eSIM, not a survey of the market, and we do not call anything the best across sellers. This page is desk research from public sources; we did not install or test these plans on a phone.

The cheapest Brunei data plan we hold is 10 GB over 7 days at $39, which works out to $3.90 a gigabyte. The dearest rate is $7.00, from 1 GB over 3 days at $7. That is a spread of 1.8 times inside one seller's list. The largest metered plan is 10 GB.

What is the full Brunei eSIM price list?

Every row below is Airalo, verified 2026-10-08. Per-gigabyte figures are our own arithmetic on the listed price.

3 GB / 3 days$15$5

What should you know before buying a Brunei eSIM?

Ten gigabytes is the biggest metered plan, and not always the best rate. The cheapest gigabyte is the 10 GB plan over 7 days at $39. Stretch that same 10 GB to 15 days and it is $43 ($4.30 a gigabyte); stretch it to 30 days and it is $49 ($4.90). Paying $10 more for the longer window is only sensible if you will be there that long.

The 10-day uncapped plan costs $42.50. That is $3.50 more than 10 GB over 7 days, and 50 cents less than 10 GB over 15 days. If your trip is ten days and you stream a lot, it is a fair option; otherwise stay metered. The other uncapped prices are $19.50 for 3 days, $28.50 for 5 and $35 for 7.

Which size should you buy for Brunei?

A cheap Brunei eSIM is mostly a question of matching size to days. A weekend. 3 GB over 3 days at $15. A week. 10 GB over 7 days at $39, or 5 GB at $22 for lighter use. Two weeks. 5 GB over 15 days at $25, or 10 GB at $43.

Which network does it use, and what about a local SIM?

Airalo's Brunei page, read on 8 October 2026, lists UNN as the primary network and does not explain the name. Our price file leaves the network field empty.

For local options, one travel blog (Too Many Adapters, dated 15 August 2026) says Brunei has three operators, DST, Progresif and imagine, that passport details are needed for a local SIM, and that Progresif sells a tourist eSIM as well as a physical SIM. It quotes tourist plans at 15 BND. That is a blog, not an operator page, so confirm prices with DST or Progresif before relying on them. We have not read either operator's own site.

The Brunei eSIM and the Brunei travel SIM it competes with differ in one practical way: an eSIM can be installed before you fly, while a physical SIM needs a shop. Whether a local SIM beats $3.90 a gigabyte we cannot say, because we have not compared local prices here. Beyond that, see the cheapest eSIM plans, how the providers compare and the Asia guide. Our method is on how we test.
