That is our entire Qatar dataset — a record of one seller, not a survey of the market. Airalo's Qatari plans are listed under the name Pearl Mobile. That is Airalo's own retail product name, not an operator. Airalo publishes no host network for Qatar — it publishes none anywhere on earth — so we cannot tell you which Qatari network the eSIM roams onto. Eleven metered plans, with six unlimited ones alongside. The ladder starts at 1 GB and stops at 20 GB — nothing sits above it, and the largest plan holds the lowest rate, as it almost always does. The spread top to bottom is a shade over two to one: $4.50 a gigabyte against $2.15.
One quirk is worth noticing before you buy. At every size the longer window costs more, and the gaps are wide: 5 GB is $15 for a week but $17 for a month, 10 GB $26 for a week and $29 for a month. Buying more days than you need is the commonest way to overpay in Qatar.
Qatar and Saudi Arabia start at the same price, then part company
Read the two ladders side by side and the first three rungs are identical: $4.50 for 1 GB over 3 days, $9.50 for 3 GB over 3 days, $10 for 3 GB over 7. From 5 GB upward they separate, and Qatar is dearer at every remaining rung — $15 against $14 at 5 GB, $26 against $24 at 10 GB, $43 against $40 at 20 GB. Saudi Arabia then adds a 25 GB rung Qatar does not have, which is what takes its floor to $1.96 against Qatar's $2.15.
The bottom of the ladder looks like a regional default several countries share. The top is set per country, and the top is where the rate you pay gets decided.
The unlimited ladder has a kink worth knowing
Airalo's six unlimited Qatar plans are $19.50 for 3 days, $28.50 for 5, $36 for 7, $38 for 10, $49 for 15 and $99 for 30.
Read that sequence again. Seven days to ten costs two dollars; three days to five costs nine. The short plans are priced badly against the ones just above them: if you were about to buy five days at $28.50, ten days is $38 and seven days is $36.
The one place unlimited looks close to sensible is the fifteen-day plan, at $49 against $43 for 20 GB over the same window. Six dollars removes the counter, and if you expect to pass 20 GB in a fortnight that is a fair trade. The thirty-day plan at $99 is not: more than double the $45 that 20 GB over the same month costs.
Which tier to buy
- A short stopover. 3 GB over 3 days at $9.50. The 1 GB plan is the worst value on the ladder.
- A week, mostly on hotel and venue wifi. 5 GB over 7 days at $15.
- A week of real use. 10 GB over 7 days at $26 — take the 7-day version unless you need the window, because the data is identical and the month costs three dollars more.
- A fortnight or a working trip. 20 GB over 15 days at $43, the lowest rate in the country.
- A fortnight without thinking about data. Unlimited for 15 days at $49.
$2.15 in context, and the UAE comparison we can now make
Qatar is expensive against the site as a whole. Thailand's floor is $0.55 a gigabyte, Austria's $0.58, Belgium's $0.65. Nearer by, from the same seller, Turkey's floor was $0.69 on 13 August, India's $1.82 and Egypt's $2.05. Qatar is dearer than all of them, though far from the extremes — Kenya sits at $4.60, Fiji and Nigeria at $4.70.
The comparison readers will want is the UAE, and it can finally be made. Our Emirati rows used to come from older article text rather than a live checkout, so we withheld it; 17 Airalo rows were read off the checkout on 17 August 2026 and the UAE floor is $2.35 a gigabyte, on 20 GB over 15 days at $47. Qatar is the cheaper of the two, by twenty cents a gigabyte.

Of the plans we have actually read, the 20 GB Airalo plan over 15 days at $43 is the cheapest per gigabyte, at $2.15. Airalo is also the only provider whose Qatari checkout anyone here has opened, so this is not a market-wide answer. Airalo does not publish that, for Qatar or for anywhere else, so we cannot tell you.
