eSIM Lesotho prices: a 10 GB ceiling, and the floor is $3.70 a gigabyte

What does an eSIM Lesotho plan cost?

All the figures here come from Airalo, and only from Airalo. We have priced Airalo only for Lesotho. We have not priced Saily, Holafly, Nomad, eSIMCard or eSIM Go here, so this is one seller's list, not a survey of the market and not a claim about the best eSIM across sellers. Nine Airalo plans, each read off airalo.com on 8 October 2026 and priced in US dollars, make up the eSIM Lesotho list in our data. Airalo sells them under the name Maloti, which is its own retail label and not a mobile network.

The cheapest gigabyte is $3.70, from the 10 GB plan over 7 days at $37. The dearest is $8.50, from the 1 GB plan over 3 days, a 2.3-fold spread. Nothing goes above 10 GB and there is no uncapped plan.

Which size eSIM Lesotho plan should I buy?

Lesotho's list is short and pricey, so the small plans are the trap. The 1 GB plan at $8.50 is the worst rate, and 3 GB at $16.50 to $17 is not much better at $5.50 to $5.67 a gigabyte. The 5 GB plans run $22 to $23, and the 10 GB plans $37 to $39.

Doubling from 5 GB to 10 GB over 7 days costs $15 ($22 to $37), and the longer windows are nearly free: 10 GB is $37 for 7 days, $37.50 for 15 and $39 for 30. So if you need more than a few gigabytes, take the 10 GB plan and pick the window that covers your trip.

A few days. 3 GB over 3 days at $16.50.

A week. 5 GB over 7 days at $22, or 10 GB at $37 if you will stream or tether.

A fortnight or month. 10 GB over 15 days at $37.50 or over 30 days at $39.

What to know before buying an eSIM Lesotho plan or travel SIM

Public reporting says Lesotho has two mobile operators, Vodacom Lesotho and Econet Telecom Lesotho, under the regulator, the Lesotho Communications Authority. SIM registration rules gazetted in December 2021 require SIMs to be linked to identity documents, and coverage of the 2022 rollout says ID cards were accepted. We could not confirm how the rules treat foreign visitors or eSIMs, so ask an operator before relying on a local line. Those reports are secondary and some dates in them conflict.

Airalo publishes no host network in our data for Lesotho: the network field is empty on every plan. We cannot name the carrier behind these plans and will not infer one from the product name. We have not priced a local SIM and have not tested these plans on a phone in Lesotho. We hold no coverage data, which matters in a mountainous country.

For how this compares with other sellers and countries, see Airalo, the cheapest eSIM plans, the provider comparison, the Africa guide and how we test.
