Algeria's cheapest eSIM gigabyte is $1.88, and a 15-day plan beats the 30-day one

17 Airalo plans read off airalo.com on 8 October 2026, from $1.88 a gigabyte at 20 GB to $4.50 at 1 GB. One seller only.

What does an eSIM Algeria plan cost?

Every price on this page comes from Airalo, and only from Airalo. We hold 17 Algeria plans, each read off airalo.com on 8 October 2026. We have not priced Saily, Holafly, Nomad, eSIMCard or eSIM Go for Algeria, so this is one seller's list, not a ranking of the market, and we make no claim about the best option across sellers. A Algeria eSIM works as a Algeria travel SIM that you install before you fly, so it is worth checking the Algeria data plan prices below against roaming.

The cheapest gigabyte is $1.88, from the 20 GB plan over 15 days at $37.50. The dearest metered rate is $4.50, from 1 GB over 3 days at $4.50. That is a 2.4-fold spread inside one seller's list, and every plan carries the same Airalo product name, Algecom.

One oddity: 20 GB over 15 days ($37.50) costs less than 20 GB over 30 days ($39), and it is the cheapest rate on the list. If you need a month, the longer plan is only $1.50 more.

Which Algeria eSIM size should I buy?

A weekend. 3 GB over 3 days at $8.50, or the 3-day uncapped plan at $19.50 if you do not want to count megabytes.

A week. 10 GB over 7 days at $19.50 is $1.95 a gigabyte, against $2.50 for 5 GB at $12.50. Doubling the data costs $7 more. The uncapped week is $38.

Two weeks to a month. 20 GB over 15 days at $37.50. Uncapped plans run to $62 for 15 days and $99 for 30, which is more than twice the 20 GB month.

Can I use a local SIM instead?

Orange's travel guide, a vendor page we read on 8 October 2026, says foreigners buying a local SIM in Algeria need an in-date passport and a valid visa, that the line is registered in the buyer's name, and that non-residents get one SIM per operator and per passport. It names three operators: Mobilis (state-owned, with the widest coverage per the guide), Ooredoo and Djezzy. The same page recommends a travel eSIM set up before departure. Treat that as a seller's view. We could not confirm from an operator's own site whether Mobilis, Ooredoo or Djezzy sell eSIMs to visitors, so we say nothing on it.

What we do not know

Airalo publishes no host network for these plans, so the network field in our data is empty and we will not name a carrier. We have not tested the plans.

Where does this fit in the wider picture?

Common questions

What is the cheapest eSIM for Algeria?

On Airalo, the 20 GB plan over 15 days at $37.50, which is $1.88 a gigabyte. That is the lowest rate across the 17 plans we verified on 8 October 2026. We have not priced other sellers in Algeria, so we cannot say whether one is cheaper.

Do I need my passport to get a SIM in Algeria?

For a local SIM, Orange's travel guide says yes: an in-date passport and a valid visa, with the line registered in your name. A travel eSIM from a seller like Airalo avoids that counter visit, though we have not tested the process. Check the operator's current rules before you travel.

Is there an unlimited Algeria eSIM?

Airalo lists uncapped plans from $19.50 for 3 days to $99 for 30 days. That is far above the metered plans per day, so most travellers will do better with 10 or 20 GB. Prices were verified on 8 October 2026.

Which networks does the Algeria eSIM use?

Airalo does not publish a host network for these plans, and our data has none. Orange's travel page says its own travel eSIM roams on partner Algerian networks, but that is about its product, not Airalo's. We will not name a carrier we cannot source.
