The Gambia's Airalo eSIM costs at least $7.00 a gigabyte, and tops out at 5 GB

Six Airalo plans read off airalo.com on 8 October 2026, from $7.00 a gigabyte to $9.50. One seller only.

What does a Gambia eSIM plan cost?

Every price on this page comes from Airalo, and only from Airalo. We hold 6 Gambia plans, each read off airalo.com on 8 October 2026. We have not priced Saily, Holafly, Nomad, eSIMCard or eSIM Go for Gambia, so this is one seller's list, not a ranking of the market, and we make no claim about the best option across sellers. A Gambia eSIM works as a Gambia travel SIM that you install before you fly, so it is worth checking the Gambia data plan prices below against roaming. The list is short, so the page is too.

The cheapest gigabyte is $7.00, from 5 GB over 7 days at $35. The dearest is $9.50, from 1 GB over 3 days at $9.50. Every plan carries the Airalo product name Wassu Telecom.

3 GB / 3 days$25$8.33

5 GB / 15 days$39$7.80

The ladder stops at 5 GB, with no uncapped plan. Longer windows cost noticeably more here: 5 GB is $35 for 7 days, $39 for 15 and $44 for 30. You pay for time as well as data.

Which Gambia eSIM size should I buy?

For a few days, 1 GB at $9.50 or 3 GB over 3 days at $25. For a week, 5 GB at $35. For a longer trip you would pay $44 for 30 days at 5 GB, so budget for that or lean on hotel wi-fi.

Is a local SIM worth considering?

The regulator PURA lists four mobile network operators: Gamcel (state-owned), Africell, Comium and Qcell. We read that on 8 October 2026. We have not found their visitor SIM prices, registration rules or eSIM support from an official source, so we say nothing on those and have not priced a local SIM. Given these eSIM rates, it is worth checking one yourself.

What we do not know

Airalo publishes no host network, so we cannot say which of the four carries the plan. We have not tested it.

Where does this fit in the wider picture?
