eSIM Mauritius prices: the floor is $1.80 a gigabyte, but the 30-day plans cost far more
Seventeen Airalo plans read off airalo.com on 8 October 2026. The rate runs from $1.80 a gigabyte at 20 GB to $6.80 at 5 GB over 30 days, a 3.8-fold spread with odd durations.
What does an eSIM Mauritius plan cost?
All the figures here come from Airalo, and only from Airalo. We have priced Airalo only for Mauritius. We have not priced Saily, Holafly, Nomad, eSIMCard or eSIM Go here, so this is one seller's list, not a survey of the market and not a claim about the best eSIM across sellers. Seventeen Airalo plans, each read off airalo.com on 8 October 2026 and priced in US dollars, make up the eSIM Mauritius list in our data. Two product names appear, Mauritius and Mauritius Unlimited; both are Airalo's own retail labels, not mobile networks.
The cheapest gigabyte is $1.80, from the 20 GB plan over 15 days at $36. The dearest is $6.80, from the 5 GB plan over 30 days at $34. That is a 3.8-fold spread, and the gap is not about size alone.
The whole Mauritius eSIM price list
Verified 8 October 2026. Eleven capped plans and six uncapped ones.
| Plan | Price | Per GB |
|---|---|---|
| 1 GB / 3 days | $6 | $6 |
| 3 GB / 3 days | $12 | $4 |
| 3 GB / 7 days | $13 | $4.33 |
| 5 GB / 7 days | $18 | $3.60 |
| 5 GB / 15 days | $19 | $3.80 |
| 5 GB / 30 days | $34 | $6.80 |
| 10 GB / 7 days | $30 | $3 |
| 10 GB / 15 days | $21 | $2.10 |
| 10 GB / 30 days | $48 | $4.80 |
| 20 GB / 15 days | $36 | $1.80 |
| 20 GB / 30 days | $49 | $2.45 |
Uncapped plans: $24 for 3 days, $28 for 5 days, $35 for 7 days, $38 for 10 days, $68 for 15 days, $99 for 30 days.
Why does the 30-day plan cost so much more?
Look at the 5 GB and 10 GB rows. 5 GB over 7 days is $18 and over 15 days is $19, but over 30 days it jumps to $34, a $15 premium for fifteen extra days. At 10 GB the pattern is stranger still: 7 days is $30, 15 days is $21 and 30 days is $48. The 15-day plan is $9 cheaper than the 7-day one, and the 30-day plan costs $27 more than the 15-day one.
So a Mauritius data plan is not priced on a smooth ladder. Read the whole table. A week-long visitor should buy 10 GB over 15 days at $21 rather than 10 GB over 7 days at $30. Nobody should buy the 5 GB month. For a full month the sensible buy is 20 GB over 30 days at $49, which is $2.45 a gigabyte.
Which size eSIM Mauritius plan should I buy?
A weekend. 3 GB over 3 days at $12.
A week or fortnight. 10 GB over 15 days at $21 is $2.10 a gigabyte and the best mid-size deal on the list. The 5 GB fortnight at $19 is only $2 cheaper for half the data.
A fortnight with heavy use. 20 GB over 15 days at $36, the cheapest rate.
A month. 20 GB over 30 days at $49. The 30-day uncapped plan at $99 is the most expensive plan we hold for Mauritius.
What to know before you buy an eSIM Mauritius plan or travel SIM
The country's regulator, the ICT Authority (ICTA), says on its FAQ that tourists buying a SIM from my.t, Emtel or Chili must give passport or travel document details and proof of address in Mauritius, and have a photo taken to match the passport. That page does not address eSIMs, so we do not know whether Airalo's Mauritius plans involve a registration step; Emtel says its own eSIMs are registered only after identity checks. Check before you travel rather than at the airport.
Airalo publishes no host network in our data for Mauritius: the network field is empty on every plan. We cannot name the carrier behind these plans and will not infer one from the product name. We have not priced a local SIM and have not tested these plans on a phone in Mauritius.

Common questions
What is the cheapest eSIM Mauritius plan?
The 20 GB plan over 15 days at $36, which is $1.80 a gigabyte, the lowest rate among seventeen Airalo plans we verified on 8 October 2026. We have not priced any other seller in Mauritius, so this is the floor of one list only.
Why is the 10 GB Mauritius plan cheaper for 15 days than 7?
We cannot explain it, only report it. On 8 October 2026 the 10 GB plan was $30 for 7 days and $21 for 15 days. It is a good reason to read the whole list before you buy the duration that matches your trip.
How much is a Mauritius data plan for a month?
Airalo's 20 GB plan over 30 days costs $49, or $2.45 a gigabyte. The 10 GB month is $48 and the 5 GB month is $34, both poor value by comparison. An uncapped month is $99.
Do I need my passport to buy a Mauritius travel SIM?
For a physical SIM, ICTA's FAQ says tourists give passport details and proof of address in Mauritius, and the operator photographs them. The page does not cover eSIMs, so we do not know the rule for Airalo's plans.
Does Airalo sell an unlimited eSIM for Mauritius?
Yes, in six durations: $24 for 3 days, $28 for 5, $35 for 7, $38 for 10, $68 for 15 and $99 for 30. For a stay longer than a week, the 20 GB plans are much cheaper unless you really need uncapped data.
