Nomad in Serbia: the cheapest eSIM in the country

Eight plans, and a correction we owe you

An earlier version of this page said Nomad sold four Serbia plans, that three of them were Balkans regional products priced at roughly double the going rate, and that only the 3GB month was worth buying. The prices behind that had never been read off Nomad's own site. They have now been, and they were two to three times too high. There are no regional products in the range; there are Serbia plans, and they are the cheapest in the country at every size.

Two unlimited windows sit alongside them: $26 for five days and $45 for ten.

Cheaper than Airalo at every size

Nomad wins outright at every size above a gigabyte, and at 1GB it matches Airalo's price with more than twice the validity. The margin widens as the plans grow, and at the top it is $14 — $0.70 a gigabyte against $0.98, and the cheapest rate anyone sells in Serbia.

What that does not change is the local comparison. Yettel's tourist plan puts 50 GB on a Serbian SIM for around $14, which is roughly 28 cents a gigabyte. Nomad is the best eSIM in Serbia and still two and a half times the price of walking into a shop.

The 3GB month is the small-plan pick

$7 for 3GB over 30 days is the cheapest 3GB we hold from anyone, and the duration is what makes it good rather than the price. Airalo's alternatives at that size are a verified $7.50 for three days and $8 for seven. Nomad gives you a month for fifty cents less than Airalo's three-day version.

For a fortnight of ordinary use — navigation around Belgrade, messaging, a few maps downloaded over hotel wifi — 3GB is enough, and the long window means a delayed return does not strand you.

Unlimited, and where the range stops

Nomad sells unlimited at two lengths. The five-day pass at $26 undercuts Airalo's verified $27.50 and sits above Holafly's indicative $19. The ten-day at $45 loses to both — Airalo charges a verified $37.50 and Holafly lists $36.90.

There is nothing longer. If you want unlimited for a fortnight or a month in Serbia, Nomad has no answer and Airalo's $48 for fifteen days is the cheapest verified one on the board. Against 50GB for $35, though, very few travellers will get their money's worth from any of them.

Tethering, which is not a given here

Nomad supports hotspot sharing on its Serbia plans. That is worth stating plainly because it is not universal — Holafly's Serbia plans do not allow it, so an unlimited plan that looks generous cannot feed a laptop.

If you need to tether and want volume, the comparison is Nomad's $15 for 10GB against Airalo's verified $18 for the same size and duration. If you need to tether and want a month of light use, Nomad's $7 plan is the cleanest buy in the country.

Network, coverage and the local option

Nomad publishes no host network for Serbia, or for anywhere else. An earlier version of this page repeated a pairing of A1 Serbia and Yettel that had been scraped out of older generated prose; there was no source for it, and it has gone. No Serbian host network has been confirmed for any provider we track, so it should carry no weight in your decision.

Serbia's known dead spots do deserve weight: the remote Stara Planina range, deep sections of the Djerdap Gorge, and very rural villages in the south. The Kosovo border area sits on a separate network, so a Serbia plan is not a safe assumption there.

If coverage is the priority rather than convenience, a local prepaid SIM at about $14 from the airport — Telekom Srbija, Yettel Serbia or A1 Serbia — gets you a Serbian number and a known carrier, at the cost of showing a passport at registration. eSIMs need no ID.
