Holafly alternatives: which seller to pick if Holafly is not it

Every Holafly alternative on this site, with the verified prices that exist: Airalo, Nomad and Saily have been read at checkout, eSIM Go and eSIMCard have not.

The best Holafly alternative depends on why you are leaving. If it is price, Airalo is usually cheaper, and in countries where it sells only metered plans you may not need unlimited at all. If it is the need for gigabytes you can count, Nomad and Saily sell those. This page lists the Holafly alternatives we cover, and it only names providers that have a page on this site.

Why look for a Holafly alternative?

Holafly sells unlimited plans by the day and nothing else in the countries we read: 3, 5, 7, 10, 15 and 30 days, with no gigabyte figure. A 30-day plan is $73.90 in Japan and Germany (checked 18 August 2026). Two reasons people look elsewhere are the price of that month and the hotspot limit, which Holafly's FAQ says is not unlimited.

Which Holafly alternative has verified prices?

Three of them. We read these at their own checkouts:

ProviderWhat it sellsUnlimited month, JapanUnlimited month, Germany
HolaflyUnlimited only, six lengths$73.90$73.90
AiraloMetered and unlimited$69$59
NomadMetered, and shorter unlimitedno 30-day unlimitedno 30-day unlimited
SailyMeterednone heldnone held

Airalo and Holafly are the only two with a 30-day unlimited plan in those rows. Nomad's longest unlimited plan we hold for either country is 21 days in Japan ($49) and 10 days in Germany ($30). Saily, in the countries we checked, sells gigabyte plans.

What if you do not need unlimited?

Most people do not. A metered plan is usually far cheaper for ordinary use:

30 daysHolafly unlimitedAiraloNomadSaily
Japan$73.9020 GB, $2520 GB, $2320 GB, $24.99
Spain$64.5020 GB, $2020 GB, $2120 GB, $22.99
Germany$73.9020 GB, $2320 GB, $2120 GB, $22.99

So a Holafly alternative with 20 GB costs roughly a third of Holafly's month, or less, in these countries. The catch is real: a traveller who tethers a laptop all day could use more than 20 GB, and then unlimited, or Airalo's 50 GB plan, is the answer.

What about eSIM Go and eSIMCard?

They are on this site: eSIM Go and eSIMCard. We have not read their prices from the checkout, so we cannot say whether they undercut Holafly, and we will not guess. The full provider comparison shows what we could and could not verify.

Which Holafly alternative should you choose?

Think about the trip, not the brand. For three to seven days of heavy use and no thinking, Holafly is competitive and sometimes cheapest: in Canada its 3-day plan is $17.90, below Airalo's $19 and Nomad's $18. For a month, pick a metered plan. If you want to see the closest rival head to head, read Airalo vs Holafly from Holafly's side; for the wider ranking by cost per gigabyte, see cheapest eSIM.

Holafly alternatives by trip type

Short and heavy, three to seven days: Holafly and Airalo are within a dollar or two of each other, so pick on the app you prefer. Medium, ten to fifteen days: Airalo's unlimited undercuts Holafly by $2 to $2.50 in Japan, and a 20 GB plan is cheaper still. A month or more: choose a gigabyte plan from Airalo, Nomad or Saily. Several of these Holafly alternatives price their 20 GB plans within a few dollars of each other, so the choice is closer than the brand names suggest.

If your trip is to a country where Holafly is priced at a premium, the saving from an alternative grows. India is the clearest case: Holafly's month is $111.90, while Airalo's verified unlimited month there is $99.

Several Holafly alternatives also have their own code pages, such as Airalo's promo code, Nomad and Saily, though promo codes change, so verify any claim at checkout. For Holafly itself, start at the Holafly hub. One honest limit: all of this is desk research from public pages, not our own phone testing, and none of the sellers we have read names the carrier behind its plans.

Common questions

For price, Airalo, whose verified unlimited month is $59 in Germany against Holafly's $73.90. For gigabyte plans you can count, Nomad and Saily. Which is best depends on the trip: Holafly stays competitive for three to seven days of heavy use, but a metered plan is usually far cheaper for a month.

Are there cheaper alternatives to Holafly?

In most countries we compared, yes. On unlimited plans of the same length, Airalo was cheaper than Holafly in 223 of 248 pairs, Holafly was cheaper in 18 and 7 were level. A metered 20 GB, 30-day plan from Airalo, Nomad or Saily costs far less than Holafly's month in the countries we checked.

Of the providers we have verified, Airalo sells unlimited plans up to 30 days in many countries, and Nomad sells shorter unlimited plans, up to 21 days in Japan. Saily was metered in the countries we checked. Holafly sells nothing else in those countries, which is its main difference from the Holafly alternatives.

Do eSIM Go and eSIMCard beat Holafly?

We cannot say. Both are on this site, but we have not read their prices from a checkout, and eSIM Go has no consumer checkout at all. We will not guess whether either undercuts Holafly. Our provider comparison page shows what we could and could not verify for each seller.

Do I need unlimited data at all?

Often not. A 20 GB, 30-day plan from Airalo, Nomad or Saily costs $20 to $25 in Japan, Spain and Germany in our verified data, against Holafly's $64.50 to $73.90 for an unlimited month. Unlimited makes sense mainly if you tether a laptop or stream video all day.
