What Holafly sells in France, and what it costs

Holafly's France product is one idea: unlimited data for a fixed run of days, on a network it does not name. You choose a duration, not an allowance. These prices were read off Holafly's own site on 18 August 2026.

A correction, and most of the old page goes with it. We previously printed a nine-rung French ladder running from a one-day plan at $5.90 to a 90-day at $99.90, plus a 14-day row at $42.90 that we flagged as suspect because it cost more than the 15-day. Holafly sells 3, 5, 7, 10, 15 and 30 days in France and nothing else. The one-day, 14-day, 20-day, 60-day and 90-day plans do not exist, and the five rows that do were all wrong — the month by $14. Those figures came from our own generated dataset.

That takes the "kink at ten days" argument with it. On the real ladder there is no bargain rung: the per-day rate slides gently from $3.97 to $2.46, with five days the one mild anomaly at $4.10.

Nomad sells the same thing for less

If uncapped data is what you want in France, Holafly is not where it is cheapest. Nomad's verified unlimited plans are $11 for 3 days, $18 for 5, $25 for 7 and $33 for 10 — under Holafly at every length it sells, by 90 cents to $3.50. Nomad stops at ten days, so the fortnight and the month are Holafly's alone, which is a different thing from being good value at them.

Where fixed-data plans beat it

France has a lot of cheap GB-based competition, and most of it is verified. These Airalo prices were read from Airalo's own site:

Nomad matches them closely — a verified 50GB month at $35, 20GB at $21, 10GB at $14 — and Saily's 20GB month is $22.99.

Set those against Holafly's 30-day unlimited at $73.90. You would need to get through more than 100GB in a month before unlimited stopped being the dearer choice, and 50GB is already a great deal of France for someone who is mostly out walking, eating and looking at things.

The two-week comparison is worse. Holafly's 15-day unlimited is $50.50. Airalo's 50GB plan, valid for 30 days, is $35.50. Fewer dollars, twice the validity, and 50GB of headroom.

Short stays are the only place the gap narrows. Three days of uncapped data at $11.90 sits against Airalo's verified 3GB over 3 days at $6.50. If you watch video on the phone and would rather not ration, paying $5.40 more for no ceiling is defensible arithmetic — though Nomad will sell you the same three uncapped days for $11.

No hotspot, and what that rules out

Holafly's France plan does not allow hotspot tethering. That removes three ordinary uses: sharing the connection with the person you are travelling with, getting a laptop online in a rented flat, and feeding a tablet on the TGV. If any of those matter, this is the wrong product — price a GB-based plan instead, and confirm tethering on that provider's own page before paying.

The Europe-wide alternative

Holafly also sells a Europe-wide plan that covers France alongside other European countries. If your itinerary is France and Italy, or France and Spain, it is worth pricing against two single-country plans. We hold no verified pricing for the regional plan, so we cannot tell you which way it falls; check it on the day you buy.

The verdict

Buy Holafly for France only if you want uncapped data for a fortnight or a month — the two windows nobody else in our French data covers — and you will not need to tether. Below ten days, Nomad sells the identical product for less. And if you can live inside 50GB, which almost everyone can, Nomad and Airalo sell a verified 50GB month at $35 and $35.50 — less than half of Holafly's $73.90.
