Holafly in the UK: unlimited only, and never the cheapest

One product, six lengths

Holafly does not sell gigabytes in the UK. It sells days. These prices were read off Holafly's own site on 18 August 2026.

A correction, and it deletes the entire reason this page recommended Holafly. We previously listed nine UK plans — one day at $6.90, twenty days at $59.90, sixty at $119.90, ninety at $139.90 among them — and had a section headed "what only Holafly has" built on three of those: the one-day plan for a Heathrow layover, the plans longer than a month, and the $1.55-a-day rate at ninety days that we called the cheapest unlimited in the UK by that measure.

None of those plans exists. Holafly sells 3, 5, 7, 10, 15 and 30 days in the UK and in every other country. There is no one-day plan, no 20-day, no 60-day, no 90-day. Everything that section claimed was uniquely Holafly's has gone, and the five real durations we priced were all too low — the month by $1.

One word in that table is still doing a lot of work. Across this market, unlimited normally means a daily allowance at full speed followed by a throttle for the rest of the day. We do not hold Holafly's UK terms, so we cannot tell you what its allowance is. Read the product page's small print, particularly if you plan to tether all day.

The head-to-head Holafly keeps losing

Airalo sells unlimited UK plans under its Uki Mobile package and Nomad sells four lengths. Both were read at source.

Six out of six to Airalo, by 40 cents at three days and $4.90 at a month. Nomad is cheaper again at every length it sells. The margins are not enormous, but they run one way at every window, and both cheaper columns have been checked against the seller.

Unlimited is not automatically the right shape

Before buying by the day, price the same trip by the gigabyte. Airalo's verified Uki Mobile 50GB plan is $39 for 30 days. Fifty gigabytes is a great deal of data for one person over a month, and it costs a little over half the unlimited plan covering the same period. Nomad's verified 20GB month is $25 and Airalo's 10GB month is $19.

Unlimited earns its premium when you genuinely cannot predict usage — tethering a laptop for work, running video calls daily, travelling with the phone as your only connection. For ordinary holiday use, a metered plan is usually the cheaper answer in the UK.

Network: the one listing we hold, and its limits

No provider in our UK data has a host network attached, Holafly included. Our record used to point to Three UK and Virgin Media O2, and only against the shorter plans — the longer rows carried nothing at all, which was the clue. Reading Holafly's own site settled it: the company names no operator for the UK, or for any of the countries we checked.

Earlier copy on this page also named EE. There is no support for that in our data, and it has been removed. No recommendation here rests on which network anyone roams onto, because for Airalo, Saily, Nomad, eSIM Go and eSIMCard we hold nothing at all.

Where UK coverage is thin is a better thing to plan around: the Scottish Highlands and islands, especially the Outer Hebrides, Orkney and Shetland; rural Wales; the North Yorkshire Moors; parts of Cornwall; remote Lake District valleys; and inside heavy old stone buildings.

Our data lists hotspot tethering as supported on Holafly's UK plans, but that came from the same generated source as the wrong prices above, and Holafly blocks tethering in many countries. Confirm it at checkout if you are buying specifically to work off a laptop. There is no UK number attached to the plan, so SMS codes will not reach you.

Verdict

There is now no UK trip we would route to Holafly. The calendar argument — one day, twenty days, longer than a month — rested entirely on plans it does not sell. At the six lengths it does sell, Airalo's verified unlimited is cheaper at all of them and Nomad's is cheaper still up to ten days.

And remember the shop in the arrivals hall. A UK prepaid SIM needs no identification and costs about $10 at the airport, which undercuts even Holafly's shortest plan.
