The range, checked against the seller

These are verified figures, read off Saily's own UK product page on 13 August 2026. Two other providers in our UK data can say the same: Airalo, checked the same day, and Nomad, checked on 18 August. The Holafly figures are indicative, drawn from our dataset rather than the seller. eSIMCard's rows have been withdrawn: we read its own pages on 18 August 2026, found the figures we held were wrong, and could not store the real ones. An earlier version of this page quoted a Saily range roughly a dollar below these prices at every size and called it the cheapest in Britain. That was wrong, and it is the reason the range above was checked by hand.

The shape is simple: five metered plans, one short and four running a month, nothing unlimited and nothing above 20GB.

The one-cent question

Airalo's verified UK prices sit exactly one cent above Saily's at every size the two share: $13 against $12.99 at 5GB, $19 against $18.99 at 10GB, $31 against $30.99 at 20GB.

That is not a saving, it is a rounding convention. Choose between the two on something else. What Airalo has that Saily does not is duration choice — 7-day and 15-day versions of the same allowances, which cost less than the 30-day ones — plus a 50GB plan and unlimited options. What Saily has is a simpler catalogue with one price per size, and no second package sitting beside it at a higher price to confuse the checkout.

Where Saily is genuinely first

At the entry level, on a fair comparison of verified numbers. Saily's 1GB plan runs seven days for $4.49; Airalo's verified 1GB is $4 but lasts three days. Pay 49 cents more, get four extra days. For a week in London on maps and messaging, that is the better buy of the two, and it is the cheapest week of data anyone has confirmed to us in the UK.

Saily is also the only provider here whose whole range has been checked. If you have been burned by a travel eSIM whose price at checkout did not match the price advertised, that is worth something concrete.

Where it is beaten, and by how much

The gap that matters is the one you can act on: Nomad's verified 20GB month is $25 against Saily's $30.99, and its verified 10GB is $17.50 against $18.99. The eSIM Go column is lower again and cannot be bought at all.

Saily also has no answer above 20GB, where Airalo's verified 50GB plan costs $39 for 30 days — 78 cents a gigabyte, against Saily's best rate of $1.55. And it sells no unlimited plan at all, so for unpredictable heavy use you are choosing between Airalo, Nomad and Holafly instead.

Network and coverage

Saily does not publish a host network for the United Kingdom, and our data holds none. We cannot tell you which of the four British operators it roams onto — the same blank applies to Airalo, Nomad and Holafly, whose UK carrier names came from our own older data rather than from Holafly. We hold no read of eSIMCard's UK listing, and eSIM Go has no consumer page on which it could publish one.

Since the network is unknowable from here, plan around the coverage weaknesses that apply to every provider: the Scottish Highlands and islands, particularly the Outer Hebrides, Orkney and Shetland; rural Wales; the North Yorkshire Moors; parts of Cornwall; remote Lake District valleys; and inside old stone buildings, where any network struggles.

Hotspot tethering is supported on Saily's UK plans. Like every travel eSIM on this site it is data only, so there is no UK number and no SMS codes.

And the shop in the arrivals hall

The UK requires no identification to buy a prepaid SIM, and there is no registration step — you pay and it works. Around $10 at the airport gets a tourist SIM with a British number attached.

Saily's 1GB plan undercuts that, and its 3GB plan is roughly level with it. Above that, the local SIM is competitive on price and better on features; the eSIM's advantage is that it is working the moment you land.

Verdict

Buy Saily's 1GB plan for a short, light trip — a verified $4.49 for a week is the most reliable cheap entry into the UK we hold. Above that the case weakens with every gigabyte: at the largest size you are paying six dollars more than Nomad's verified price for the same allowance. If certainty about the price is what you want, Saily and Airalo are the two to look at. If the lowest number is what you want, it is somewhere else.
