Holafly in Thailand — unlimited data, and no price we can stand behind

Why there is no price table here

Holafly runs a single product in Thailand: unlimited data, priced by the day. There are no gigabyte tiers to pick between, and that is the whole appeal — you buy a number of days and stop thinking about it.

This page used to list five prices for it: $3.90 for one day, $18.90 for five, $29.90 for ten, $38.90 for fifteen and $55.90 for thirty. We have withdrawn all five. They came from the generated corpus this site was originally built from, not from Holafly. On 18 August 2026 we read Holafly's own site in a browser and recorded verified prices for 44 countries; Thailand was not one of them.

The reason we will not simply leave the old numbers up is what that read found everywhere else. In all 44 countries the corpus prices were too low, sometimes by a lot — Denmark's month by $14, New Zealand's by $26.90, India's by $37 — and once the real figures were in, Holafly turned out to be the dearest uncapped seller in most markets rather than a cheap one. A Thai ladder starting at $3.90 a day, showing Holafly beating Airalo at ten days, is exactly the shape of claim that collapsed everywhere it was checked.

Two structural facts do hold, because they hold in every country Holafly sells:

• Six durations, and no others — 3, 5, 7, 10, 15 and 30 days. The one-day Thai plan this page called Holafly's uncontested position does not exist.
• Every plan is unlimited. No gigabyte ladder, so Holafly cannot appear in a cost-per-gigabyte ranking at all.

What the alternatives actually cost

Thailand is one of the cheapest uncapped markets anywhere, which makes the comparison worth having in front of you before you open Holafly's page.

Nomad's verified unlimited month at $33 is the cheapest uncapped thirty days in our entire dataset for any country. Airalo's Maew unlimited covers the shorter windows. Hold whatever Holafly quotes you against those two columns — in the 44 countries we have read, its uncapped prices came in above Airalo's at almost every window.

Metered data is cheaper again: Airalo's verified 10GB month is $11, Saily's $10.99 and Nomad's $10; Airalo's 50GB month is $27.50 and Nomad sells 50GB over ten days for $12.

The tethering rule, and why it bites harder in Thailand

Holafly's Thailand plan does not allow hotspot use. In most countries that is an irritation. Here it is closer to disqualifying for a large share of visitors, because Chiang Mai is one of the biggest remote-work destinations in Asia and people who go there routinely need to put a laptop online through a phone.

If you are working from Thailand, that single restriction settles it. Buy something whose terms permit tethering, and read those terms. Airalo's verified 20GB over thirty days at $18, or 50GB at $27.50, covers a month of normal remote work — and the laptop actually connects.

Coverage, and what unlimited is worth on an island

We hold no host network for Holafly in Thailand. An earlier version of this page attributed one to Holafly itself, which we cannot support: our Thai rows for Holafly name no carrier, and reading Holafly's own site for 44 other countries confirmed the pattern — it publishes no host network anywhere.

The underlying coverage facts still matter. AIS has the largest geographic coverage in Thailand and is the strongest network for islands, remote beaches, trekking routes and the northern highlands, while True is solid across Bangkok and the major cities but weaker beyond them. No travel eSIM sold here will tell you which one you land on, and no eSIM repairs a hole in the network underneath it. Ferry crossings between islands, the outer beaches of Koh Chang and Koh Lanta, and the deep interior of Koh Tao all drop signal regardless of what you paid.

Unlimited data earns its money where coverage is good and your usage is unpredictable — a beach resort with music streaming all afternoon and photos going up all evening. It earns nothing where the bars disappear.

Where it lands

If you want data you never have to manage on a Thai trip, uncapped is a reasonable thing to buy — just buy it on a price you can see. Nomad's verified $33 for an unlimited month and $16 for ten days set a low bar that Holafly would have to beat, and in the 44 countries where we now have both figures, it does not.

Skip unlimited entirely if you work from a laptop, or if you are price-sensitive: a verified 10GB month costs $10 to $11 here, roughly what a single uncapped day used to be claimed to cost.
