Holafly in Turkey: one product, six durations, and two rivals that undercut it

One product, six lengths

Holafly does not sell gigabytes in Turkey. There is no 5GB plan, no 10GB plan, nothing metered at all — only unlimited data sold by the day. These prices were read off Holafly's own site on 18 August 2026.

A correction. This page previously listed five plans and singled out the seven-day one as the worst value in the range at $3.86 a day. On the real prices, five days is the worst rung at $4.10 and seven is better than three. The old figures — $19, $27, $36.90, $47 and $74.90 — came from our own generated dataset, and the three-day plan was missing from the table entirely.

Calls and SMS are not included on any plan; messaging apps run over the data allowance instead. Our older text said hotspot tethering was supported here, which came from the same unreliable source, so check the terms before relying on it.

The network listing, and how much of it we actually have

Holafly's own material points to no carrier behind its Turkish eSIM. The Turkcell and Vodafone Turkey pairing this page used to show reached our data truncated mid-word, which told you something about how it got there — from our own older text, not from Holafly, which names no operator for Turkey or for any of the countries we read.

It was also incomplete on its own terms: that listing sat only against the shortest plans, with nothing at all against the longer ones.

So do not buy this eSIM because of the carrier you think is behind it. If a specific Turkish network is what you need, the reliable route is a local prepaid SIM bought from that carrier — about $20 at the airport, passport required for registration. Buying an eSIM needs no passport at all.

Unlimited against unlimited, and against counted gigabytes

Airalo's and Nomad's Turkish prices were both read off their own sites, and Holafly loses to them everywhere.

The fifteen-day row is the one to look at: $50.50 against Airalo's $39, an $11.50 gap for the same uncapped product. Nomad's ten-day plan at $28 is $8.50 under Holafly's.

The metered comparison is harsher still. A verified 50GB month from Airalo costs $34.50 and Nomad's is $31, less than half Holafly's 30-day unlimited. Very few travellers move 50GB in a month on a phone; if you are not streaming video on mobile data for hours a day, you are paying roughly $40 for headroom you will not reach. Nomad's verified 10GB month is $13.

Where Holafly earns its price is the trip where you genuinely cannot predict usage — uploading footage, or running a connection you never want to think about. There the ceiling is the product, and a metered plan that runs dry in Cappadocia at the wrong moment costs more in aggravation than the difference in price. It is just that two other sellers offer the same absence of a ceiling for less.

Coverage is not what separates these

Turkey's problem areas are the same whichever eSIM you buy: rural Eastern Anatolia, the narrower Cappadocia gorges where signal drops between the rock formations, Black Sea mountain roads between towns, and some of the Aegean and Mediterranean island-hopping routes. Turkcell is the network generally recommended for tourist coverage across the country.

But since no travel eSIM in our Turkey data has a confirmed host network, none of them can sell you a coverage advantage in those places, and unlimited data is worth nothing where there is no signal. Choose on price and on whether you want a ceiling — not on a network claim.

Verdict

Holafly works, and the range is simple to buy. It is also the most expensive unlimited plan in our Turkey table at all six durations, and considerably more expensive than a large metered plan for anyone whose usage is ordinary.
