Vodafone Turkey SIM card: its site blocked us, so this page is short
Vodafone Turkey's website refused our requests on 8 October 2026, so we cannot describe its tourist offer. We say what we do not know and what to ask.
Can we say a Vodafone Turkey SIM card is a good choice?
No, because we could not read Vodafone Turkey's site. On 8 October 2026 requests to vodafone.com.tr were refused with an access error or reset mid-way, whichever page we tried. So we have no Vodafone Turkey price, tourist pack, eSIM rule, registration rule or coverage claim from the operator, and we have not borrowed any from elsewhere. A Vodafone Turkey SIM card may well be a good option. We simply cannot show it.
What should you ask before buying one?
At a Vodafone shop or airport counter, or through support:
- Is there a tourist or prepaid pack, and what are the data, days and price in lira?
- Is an eSIM available to a visitor, and does it work on my phone?
- What does registration need: a passport, a visa stamp, a local address?
- Does the pack include calls and texts?
- How does top-up work if I stay longer?
What do we know about Turkey's other operators?
Türk Telekom has an English Tourist SIM page, which we read: four Welcome packs from 320 TL for 10 GB over 7 days, sold at airport dealers and stores. Turkcell has a Turkish-language site with resident prepaid tariffs and an eSIM route, and no tourist page that we found.
Vodafone Turkey SIM card or a travel eSIM?
When a local operator's terms are unreadable before you travel, a travel eSIM is the low-risk way to get data on arrival, with no counter, no passport check at the airport and nothing to read in Turkish. See our Turkey SIM comparison. If you will stay a long time, compare local options on arrival and use the eSIM as a bridge.

This page is deliberately thin. We will extend it once Vodafone Turkey's site can be read.
Common questions
Does Vodafone Turkey sell tourist SIM cards?
We could not confirm it. Vodafone Turkey's website refused or reset our requests on 8 October 2026, so we read no tourist offer. Ask at a Vodafone shop or airport counter whether a visitor pack exists, what it costs in lira and what registration involves.
Does Vodafone Turkey have an eSIM for visitors?
We could not verify it. If you want one, ask Vodafone Turkey whether a visitor can buy an eSIM and whether your phone is supported. A travel eSIM bought before you fly avoids the question, and you can add a local line if you stay.
Do I need a passport for a Vodafone Turkey SIM?
We could not read Vodafone's registration rules. Take your passport to the counter and ask what Vodafone records and requires. Do not assume you can buy and use a SIM anonymously, because we could not confirm that either way, and the rules may differ between a shop and an airport.
How good is Vodafone's coverage in Turkey?
We cannot say. We read no coverage claim from Vodafone Turkey, and we are not repeating unverified figures. Turkey is a large country, so check Vodafone's coverage map for Cappadocia, the coast or wherever you are going before you rely on it.
Which Turkish operator publishes tourist prices?
Of the three we checked, Türk Telekom does. Its English Tourist SIM page listed Welcome 10GB at 320 TL for 7 days and Welcome 25GB at 420 TL for 28 days on 8 October 2026, plus where to buy. Vodafone's site would not load for us.
