eSIM Go in Vietnam: what we hold, and what we do not

eSIM Go does not sell to travellers

Before anything else on this page: eSIM Go sells wholesale to resellers, not to the public. We opened esim-go.com on 18 August 2026 and found no consumer price anywhere on the site — no basket, no checkout, Contact Sales where a shop puts Buy now, and no per-country consumer pages, which return 404.

So there is no Vietnam plan to price, no product page for you to check, and nothing on eSIM Go's site to hold against the market below. The 34 rows we do hold for it, spread across 16 large countries, cannot be verified for the same reason: there is no published consumer price to read them against. Start with the gap

We cannot tell you what eSIM Go charges in Vietnam, because it charges travellers nothing: it sells wholesale to resellers and publishes no consumer price.

Our Vietnam data runs to 46 plans. Every one of them belongs to Airalo, Saily, Nomad, Holafly or eSIMCard. We hold eSIM Go plans for sixteen other countries — Thailand, Japan, Indonesia, Singapore and the rest — but nothing for Vietnam, which is why you will not find it in the tables on our Vietnam hub.

That is not the same as saying it is unavailable. Providers add and drop country plans constantly, and pricing pages change faster than anyone can track them. It means only that we have no figure we are willing to print, and inventing one would be worse than admitting the hole.

So this page does the useful thing instead: it tells you what a Vietnam eSIM should cost, so you can price any quote against the market yourself.

What a Vietnam eSIM costs elsewhere

These are the lowest prices in our Vietnam data at each common size. Airalo's were read off its own site on 13 August 2026 and Saily's on 16 August; the rest are indicative listings we have not confirmed.

The shape of that table is what matters. A month of 10GB in Vietnam costs around $18, and a month of 50GB around $39 to $49. Anything materially above those lines is a bad deal regardless of whose name is on it; anything close to them is competitive.

The network question

An earlier version of this page told readers which Vietnamese carriers eSIM Go rides on. We have withdrawn that, because we hold no plan record for eSIM Go in Vietnam and therefore no network for it either — the claim came from generated copy, not from a source.

That scepticism should extend to the whole market. Not one travel eSIM in our Vietnam data has a host network anybody has verified, and not one names Viettel. Where a carrier name appears at all, it came from the provider's own marketing; Airalo publishes nothing of the kind for any country, and Saily's Vietnam pages, read on 16 August 2026, name no carrier either.

It matters here more than in most places. Cities, the coastal strip and the main highways are covered by everything. The gaps are the Sapa trekking routes, the Ha Giang Loop, the deeper karst channels of Ha Long Bay and the rural Mekong Delta waterways — and Viettel is the only carrier with reliable 4G across most remote areas of the country.

If that coverage is what your trip needs, no travel eSIM can currently promise it to you, whichever brand you buy.

The cheap option people forget

Vietnam is unusual in how little a local SIM costs. A prepaid SIM runs about $7 at the airport — less than half the price of a 10GB travel eSIM, and it lets you pick the carrier, which no eSIM here does. You hand over your passport at the counter to register it, and that is the only real friction.

An eSIM earns its premium when you want to be online the moment the plane lands, or you would rather not hand your passport to anyone. Those are fair reasons. Saving money is not one of them in Vietnam.

Verdict

We cannot recommend or rule out eSIM Go in Vietnam, and we would rather say so than fill the space. If you are quoted a price, hold it against the table above: under $18 for a 10GB month is competitive, over $25 is not.
