Reddi Vietnam SIM card: what we could not confirm
Reddi's website gave our reader only a contact-centre heading. We cannot confirm what it sells to visitors, or whether the brand is still active.
Can we recommend a Reddi Vietnam SIM card?
No, and we want to say why. On 8 October 2026 we opened reddi.vn and got only a "Contact center" heading, with no readable plans, prices, SIM types or registration rules. So everything we can say about Reddi's current offer is unverified. We would rather leave the page short than guess.
What we could not verify
- Whether Reddi is still selling SIMs, and to visitors.
- Prices, data allowances and validity.
- eSIM. Whether Reddi offers one.
- Registration. What a foreign visitor must show. Vietnam requires SIM registration, so expect to need your passport.
- Coverage. We have no coverage statement from Reddi.
What older reports say
A search of news articles (not Reddi's own site) described Reddi as a virtual network operator, an MVNO, launched in June 2020 with the 055 prefix, using VNPT's network infrastructure and activated through an app. We have not verified those reports against Reddi's pages, and they are about six years old. They do not suggest a link to Gmobile.
How to check yourself
Open reddi.vn in your browser and look for plans, SIM types and the registration process. Call the number in its contact centre, or ask at a Vietnamese airport counter whether Reddi SIMs are sold to tourists. Do not buy one from a third-party seller without checking it is a genuine, registrable SIM.
Reddi compared with a travel eSIM
With nothing verified, a travel eSIM is the safer plan. See our Vietnam SIM card comparison and the cheapest eSIM page. For networks with published tourist details, read Viettel or Vietnamobile, also Gmobile, and the Vietnam hub. We will update this page when Reddi's site yields real information.
Bottom line
Our verdict on the Reddi Vietnam SIM card is that we could not confirm it. Check whether a Reddi SIM, a Reddi eSIM or Reddi coverage information is current before you rely on it.
Common questions
What is Reddi in Vietnam?
Older news reports, not Reddi's own site, describe Reddi as a virtual mobile network launched in 2020 with the 055 prefix, using VNPT's infrastructure. We could not confirm its current status from its website, which showed only a contact-centre heading on 8 October 2026.
Does Reddi sell a tourist SIM or eSIM?
We could not verify it. Reddi's website gave our reader no plan, SIM or eSIM information. If you want a local SIM with a published tourist offer, read about Viettel or Vietnamobile, or use a travel eSIM bought before you fly.
Do I need a passport to register a Reddi SIM?
We cannot say from Reddi's site. Vietnam requires SIM registration for all users, so expect to need your original passport. Ask Reddi through its contact centre before you buy, and do not buy a SIM from an unverified seller. Check the carrier's own page before you buy.
How much is a Reddi SIM card?
We have no verified price. Reddi's site showed no prices on 8 October 2026. An older 2020 news article quoted launch prices, but they are about six years old, and we do not repeat them as current. Ask Reddi directly.
Is Reddi on the same network as Gmobile?
Older reports we found say Reddi used VNPT's infrastructure, not Gmobile's, and they showed no link between the two. Those are news reports from about 2020, not Reddi's own pages, so they may be out of date. Reddi's current network is unverified.
