eSIM Go in Sweden: no plans, because there is nothing on sale

The short version

We hold no eSIM Go plan for Sweden, and there is none to find. eSIM Go sells wholesale to resellers rather than to travellers. Checked on 18 August 2026, esim-go.com carries no consumer price anywhere: no basket, no checkout, Contact Sales instead of Buy now, and no per-country consumer pages, which return 404.

Its narrow footprint in our data — 16 of the 94 countries we track — is therefore beside the point. None of those 16 can be verified either, for the same reason. Our eSIM Go platform page has the whole finding.

What this page used to claim

Two things, neither of them sourced, and neither of them possible.

It said eSIM Go's Sweden pricing started at $8.50 for 3GB over 30 days. That figure came out of a generated corpus whose prices, where we later checked them against providers' own sites, were wrong far more often than right — and no traveller could have paid it at any price.

It also said eSIM Go ran on Telia and Tele2 here. It has no consumer page on which it could name a carrier, and nor does anyone else: we read Airalo's, Nomad's, Saily's and Holafly's own country pages on 17 and 18 August 2026 and found no operator named for any country.

What a Swedish plan is worth

Airalo's figures were read from its own site on 13 August 2026 and sell under its "Vän" package. Nomad's were read from its own site on 17 August 2026. Saily's and Holafly's were read off their own sites on 18 August 2026, so every figure below is a checkout price.

Two thresholds fall out of that. Under 10GB, Airalo's verified pricing sets the bar and sets it low: 5GB for a full month costs $10. Above 10GB the market drops to around a dollar a gigabyte: Nomad's verified 20GB is $1.00 and Airalo's verified 50GB is 84 cents. An earlier version of this page put that floor at 58 cents, on a Nomad 50GB price nobody had checked; the checked price is $45 and the floor belongs to Airalo. A 30-day Sweden bundle priced much above $1.50 per gigabyte is not competitive, whoever is selling it.

Note also how little Airalo charges for time. Going from a 7-day 5GB plan to a 30-day one costs a dollar; 10GB over 30 days is a dollar more than 10GB over seven. If a quote loads the price heavily for a longer validity window, that is a mark against it.

Sweden shrinks the question

Before you buy anything, two checks.

If your phone is on an EU or EEA plan, roam-like-at-home applies and a Swedish trip costs you nothing extra. A large share of visitors here need no purchase at all, and no comparison table changes that.

If you do need data, a physical Swedish SIM costs about $10 in an airport starter pack — but it is a registration, not a shelf purchase: prepaid SIMs have had to be registered against ID here since August 2022, so bring your passport and allow for the counter. We do not hold what data that $10 buys, so read it as a price point rather than a like-for-like comparison, and note that the eSIM's convenience advantage is real in Sweden rather than negligible.

Coverage, and why the missing network matters less than usual

Telia has the best overall 4G and 5G population coverage in Sweden and the strongest rural and archipelago reach. Tele2 and Telenor, which share the Net4Mobility network, switched on 5G across their full footprint in September 2025, reaching 99.9% of the population and 90% of the landmass. Average speeds run around 75 Mbps.

The gaps are real but narrow: Lapland wilderness and fjäll above the treeline, remote archipelago islands, dense forest in Dalarna and Norrland away from roads, and some cross-country ski trails through remote forest.

None of the four providers that do hold Sweden plans in our data publishes a host network. If signal in the far north is what decides your trip, the answer is a Swedish SIM you can choose the operator for, not any travel eSIM brand.

If you are weighing an unfamiliar quote

Some smaller apps and travel brands resell wholesale capacity under their own name, and their prices are their own. Check three things at the checkout. Does the validity actually cover your trip, or expire a day short? Does it allow tethering — Holafly's Sweden plans do not, so it is not a given? And what is the per-gigabyte figure against the table above?
