eSIM Go in the Netherlands: no prices we can stand behind

eSIM Go does not sell to travellers

Before anything else on this page: eSIM Go sells wholesale to resellers, not to the public. We opened esim-go.com on 18 August 2026 and found no consumer price anywhere on the site — no basket, no checkout, Contact Sales where a shop puts Buy now, and no per-country consumer pages, which return 404.

So there is no Netherlands plan to price, no product page for you to check, and nothing on eSIM Go's site to hold against the market below. The 34 rows we do hold for it, spread across 16 large countries, cannot be verified for the same reason: there is no published consumer price to read them against. We cannot price this one

This page would normally list eSIM Go's Netherlands plans and rank them against the field. It cannot, because our dataset contains no eSIM Go rows for the Netherlands at all — 41 priced plans across eSIMCard, Saily, Nomad, Airalo and Holafly, and nothing from eSIM Go.

The page we are replacing did not have prices either. It told readers to check eSIM Go's own product page for current pricing, which is an odd thing for a review to say, and then compared eSIM Go against rivals whose prices it did list. That comparison was not a comparison.

We are not going to guess. eSIM Go's inventory is largely sold through partner brands and resellers rather than a single stable consumer price list, and a made-up figure on this site would be worse than an empty one. What we can do is give you the benchmark.

What the Netherlands market actually costs

Judge any eSIM Go quote against these. Airalo's figures were read from its checkout on 13 August 2026, Saily's from its own site on 16 August and Nomad's from its own on 18 August; all three are verified. eSIMCard's rows have been withdrawn: we read its own pages on 18 August 2026, found the figures we held were wrong, and could not store the real ones. A note on that middle block: Airalo sells the same four metered sizes for exactly one cent more each, so read "Saily" there as "either of the two big sellers" rather than as a recommendation. Above 20GB only Airalo continues.

The useful summary: the Netherlands is a cheap market. A gigabyte costs under $3 at the entry level, 10GB for a month costs $18, and unlimited for three days is $11.50. If an eSIM Go quote lands materially above those, there is no coverage argument available to justify it — see below.

The network claim, and why it isn't a reason to choose

We hold no host network for eSIM Go in the Netherlands, and we have not read its checkout to find one. Anyone telling you which Dutch network it lands on — including an earlier version of this page — is going beyond what has been checked. We have not confirmed that with eSIM Go, and no host network in our Netherlands data was ever published by a seller — the KPN and Odido pair we used to carry against eSIMCard's rows came from our own text. Airalo, Saily, Nomad and Holafly publish nothing at all; we read Saily's site on 16 August 2026, Nomad's on 18 August and Holafly's on 18 August, and none of them names an operator in any country. Holafly is the change there — this page previously credited it with Vodafone Netherlands, which came from our own data. Treat every one of these as a marketing line, not a specification.

Here is the part that makes it easier: in the Netherlands it barely matters. The country is flat, small and densely built, and mobile coverage is close to uniform for anything a visitor does. The known weak spots are narrow — some of the North Sea Wadden Islands, and the interior of the Hoge Veluwe forest. Unless you are heading to Vlieland or spending a day deep in the Veluwe, a network claim is not worth paying a premium for even if it turns out to be true.

The original page's one concrete claim — that hotspot tethering is supported on eSIM Go's Netherlands service — does not survive either. It came from the same generated text, and there is no Netherlands service to check it against.

How to check its page without getting caught

If you go and look, three things decide whether the quote is competitive.

Compare price per gigabyte at the size you actually need, not at the headline tier. The Netherlands market runs roughly $2 per GB at 5GB and $1.80 at 10GB on the prices above; anything far off that is expensive.

Check the validity, not just the allowance. Short windows are how cheap headline prices are made. Airalo charges about a dollar to go from a 7-day to a 30-day version of the same allowance here, so a plan that gives you three days is not really competing with one that gives you thirty.

And check whether you need any of it. The Netherlands is in the EU, so an EU or EEA phone plan roams at home rates within its fair-use cap. If that is you, buy nothing. If it is not, Dutch prepaid SIMs need no ID whatsoever — an instant over-the-counter purchase from KPN, Odido or Vodafone, about $18 at the airport, with a Dutch number attached.

Verdict

We cannot recommend eSIM Go for the Netherlands, and we cannot warn you off it. We hold no prices for it, and the network claim it makes is both unverified and, in this particular country, close to irrelevant. If its live pricing beats $9.99 for 5GB or $17.99 for 10GB over 30 days, it is worth a look. Otherwise the priced field on our Netherlands hub already has the answer.
