eSIMCard in the Netherlands: no price from us, and why

Both Dutch rows have been withdrawn

This review turned on eSIMCard's one-gigabyte plan being the cheapest way into the country, and on twenty-four cents deciding the tier above it. Both rows have now been withdrawn — out of the table here and out of the cheapest-per-gigabyte ranking across the site — and the arithmetic built on them has gone with them.

They used to carry an indicative label — our figure, not read off a live checkout, but presumed to be somewhere near the mark. On 18 August 2026 we read eSIMCard's own pages, and that presumption failed. The entry plan our data priced identically across fifteen unrelated countries sells for well under half of it on eSIMCard's Japanese page, and the sizes we listed match neither of the tiers it actually offers. A figure you have checked and found wrong is not indicative; it is wrong.

We could not put the right prices in their place either. Our records hold a plan as four things — provider, size, days, price — and eSIMCard's catalogue does not resolve to four things. A Standard/Universal toggle swaps its whole range between two product lines, each plan carries a speed-limit flag that only appears inside its own details modal, and the carrier list varies from plan to plan. One price per size would have merged a throttled plan and a full-speed one into a single row. Our eSIMCard page sets out the full reasoning.

What an eSIM for the Netherlands actually costs

Airalo and Saily were read on 13 August 2026, Nomad on 17 August 2026. Take these to eSIMCard's checkout and judge what you find there against them.

The network claim, and how much it should weigh

The two Dutch carriers our own records held against eSIMCard's rows came from this site's generated text rather than from eSIMCard, so we no longer present them as its listing. Nobody else publishes a Dutch host network either — Airalo, Saily, Nomad and Holafly name no operator anywhere. This page previously named Holafly as a second seller listing a carrier, Vodafone Netherlands; that came from our own data, and reading Holafly's Dutch prices at source on 18 August 2026 confirmed it names no operator for any country. So for the Netherlands we hold nothing, from anyone.

Fortunately this is the country where that uncertainty costs least. The Netherlands is flat, small and densely populated, and coverage is effectively uniform for visitors. The thin spots are limited to some of the North Sea Wadden Islands and the interior of the Hoge Veluwe forest. Nobody should pay a premium for a carrier claim here, verified or not.

What eSIMCard still does that nobody else does

eSIMCard is the only one of the six sellers on this site that publishes the host network at all. We read that directly: its Japan page names three Japanese operators against its plans, in a Supported Countries & Networks block. Airalo, Nomad, Saily and Holafly name no operator in any country, and eSIM Go has no consumer page on which it could. That is a genuine difference, and the price check left it untouched.

The carriers our own records held against its rows here came from this site's generated text rather than from eSIMCard, so those are ours to withdraw and not its claim to defend. Its own country listing is the place to look. The Netherlands is, admittedly, the country where that matters least: it is flat, small and densely covered, and nobody should pay a premium for a carrier claim here.

Verdict

We have no Dutch price for eSIMCard, so this page no longer places it in the ladder. That is a gap in our records rather than a judgement on the shop.
