Airalo in the Czech Republic: two product names, one unknown network

What the prices actually are

We hold 19 Airalo plans for the Czech Republic, all read off Airalo's own site on 13 August 2026. Nearly every one is sold under the name Prosím. Here is the monthly ladder:

Short windows are cheaper than most people expect. Three days of 1 GB is $4. A week of 3 GB is $5, a week of 5 GB is $7, a week of 10 GB is $14. Fifteen days sits barely above a week — 5 GB for $7.50, 10 GB for $14.50, 20 GB for $23 — so if your dates are loose, buy the longer window and stop thinking about it.

The uncapped range runs $11.50 for 3 days, $19.50 for 5, $27 for 7, $34 for 10, $48 for 15 and $69 for 30.

The O2 badge is a product name, not a network

One plan breaks the pattern. Alongside the Prosím 10 GB/30-day plan at $15, Airalo lists a second 10 GB/30-day plan at $16 badged O2. Read that carefully, because it is the most misleading label in the whole Czech dataset: O2 Czech Republic is a real operator, one of the country's three, and almost every reader will take the badge as a disclosure that this plan connects to it.

It is not. Airalo does not publish a host network for the Czech Republic, or for any other country it sells in — the words on its plans are its own retail branding, exactly as Prosím is. Two prices at the same size mean two products, and we have no information about what the second one gives you for the extra dollar. We are not going to guess, and neither should any review that tells you the pricier plan buys "better coverage". Ask Airalo before paying the difference.

The ladder does not stop at 20 GB

This is worth stating plainly because we have published the opposite. An earlier version of our Czech pages said the market topped out at 20 GB. It doesn't: the verified 50 GB plan at $36 has been there all along, and at 72 cents a gigabyte it is the cheapest data in the country by a wide margin — barely half the rate of the 10 GB plan. If two of you are sharing a hotspot for a fortnight in Prague, that is the plan.

Above it sits a month of uncapped data at $69, which only makes sense for genuinely unpredictable use. For nearly everyone, 50 GB at $36 is both cheaper and more than enough.

Against the rest of the market

We hold Czech prices for three rivals, and all three have now been read at source: Nomad's off its own site on 17 August 2026, Saily's and Holafly's off theirs on 18 August. Airalo is now a cent dearer than Saily at both shared sizes: $8 against $7.99 for 5 GB over a month, $15 against $14.99 for 10 GB. This page previously put Saily at $12.99 and $19.99 for those plans, figures that were never read off Saily and were wrong by five dollars each. Against Nomad it wins at 5 GB ($8 against $12.50), at 10 GB ($15 against $16) and at 50 GB ($36 against $45), and loses only at 20 GB, where Nomad's $20 undercuts $24. An earlier version of this page had the two level at 10 GB and put Nomad's 20 GB higher than it is; both of those Nomad figures were wrong.

The uncapped comparison with Holafly does not swing at all once both ladders are read: Airalo is cheaper at every one of the six lengths the two share — $11.50 against $11.90 at three days, $19.50 against $20.50 at five, $27 against $27.50 at seven, $34 against $36.50 at ten, $48 against $50.50 at fifteen and $69 against $73.90 at thirty. The 90-day Holafly plan this page used to say Airalo had no answer to does not exist.

The Czech catch: the local SIM is genuinely easy here

In most countries the case for a travel eSIM is partly bureaucratic — you skip a registration counter. Not here. Czech prepaid SIMs need no ID and can be bought and used immediately, at about $12 from the airport. That removes the friction argument entirely and leaves eSIMs competing on price and convenience alone. One coverage note that applies to every seller equally, since none of them publish confirmed networks here: Czech mobile coverage is strong in the cities and thins in the remote Bohemian and Moravian forests, on the border mountain trails of Šumava and Krkonoše, and inside the caves and gorges people visit on day trips.
