Nomad's Czech Republic eSIM: where it wins and where it runs out

The line-up

Ten plans. Six are metered and, apart from the 1GB entry tier, all run for 30 days — Nomad does not sell you a three-day window on a capped plan and hope you notice. Four more are unlimited, on short windows.

Nomad's Czech prices were read off nomadesim.com on 17 August 2026 and are verified. They were not before, and the figures this page previously carried were wrong in every particular: it described a three-plan range priced $7 for 3GB, $15 for 10GB and $22 for 20GB, and said the range stopped at 20GB. None of those three prices is what Nomad charges, and the range does not stop there.

The unlimited windows are $11 for three days, $18 for five, $25 for seven and $33 for ten.

Data only, no calls or SMS. Tethering is supported, which separates Nomad from Holafly in this market and is the single reason to pick it if a laptop needs the connection.

One thing worth knowing before you read anything local into these numbers: this exact ladder — $4.50, $9, $12.50, $16, $20, $45, and $11/$18/$25/$33 unlimited — is the one Nomad charges in thirteen countries, from Iceland to Romania. It is a tiering policy, not a Czech cost.

How it prices against the verified rows

Airalo's Czech prices were read from its own site on 13 August 2026. Both ladders are now checked, so this is a comparison between two firm numbers rather than a firm one and a soft one.

On metered plans Nomad wins at exactly one size. Its 20GB month at $20.00 is $1.00 a gigabyte against Airalo's verified $24.00 for the same size and window — a $4 saving, and larger than the $2 gap this page previously claimed on a wrong price.

Everywhere else Airalo is cheaper. Nomad's 3GB month is $9.00; Airalo's verified 5GB over 30 days is $8.00, which is more data for less money. Nomad's 5GB is $12.50 against Airalo's $8.00, a difference of more than half. At 10GB Nomad is $16.00 against $15.00 — this page used to say the two were level at $15, and they are not. At 50GB Nomad is $45.00 against $36.00.

The unlimited side goes the other way, and it is the part of Nomad's Czech range we had no idea about. Nomad undercuts Airalo on all four shared windows: $11 against $11.50 for three days, $18 against $19.50 for five, $25 against $27 for seven, $33 against $34 for ten. Holafly's five-day unlimited is $19 and its ten-day $36.90, so Nomad is under both of those too. If you want unlimited in the Czech Republic, Nomad is the cheapest we hold at every length it sells.

The 50GB row exists, and it is the wrong one to buy

Nomad does sell 50GB over 30 days. It costs $45, or 90 cents a gigabyte, and it is the cheapest rate in Nomad's own Czech range.

It is not the cheapest in the country. Airalo's verified 50GB over 30 days is $36 — 72 cents a gigabyte, $9 less for the same allowance. If you are working remotely from Prague for a month or tethering daily, that is the plan, and Nomad has no answer to it.

So the shape of the advice is narrow but not as narrow as it was: Nomad is the buy at 20GB metered, and at every unlimited window. Below 20GB and at 50GB, Airalo costs less.

One aside if you go comparing on Airalo's side of the fence. It lists a second Czech package badged O2, holding a single plan — 10GB over 30 days at $16.00, a dollar above the same allowance in its Prosím range. O2 is also a real Czech operator, so the badge invites exactly the wrong conclusion: it is Airalo's product name, and Airalo publishes no host network for any country.

What we can say about Nomad's network

Nothing, and that is a correction. An earlier version of this page said Nomad's Czech listing pointed to Vodafone and T-Mobile. It does not. Nomad publishes no host network for the Czech Republic, or for any of the 47 countries it sells in, and the claim came out of the same generated text that produced the wrong prices.

That puts Nomad where Airalo, Saily and Holafly already were. The Czech operators this page once credited to Holafly's own listing came from the same generated data, not from Holafly. If you need to know which network you are attaching to, the only reliable route here is a local prepaid SIM.

What is not in doubt is the terrain. Signal thins out in remote Bohemian and Moravian forest, on border mountain trails in the Šumava and the remote Krkonoše, and inside caves and gorges, whichever SIM you hold. Offline maps solve that; a different provider does not.

Verdict

Buy the 20GB month at $20 if you want capped data, or one of the unlimited windows if you want the cheapest unlimited in the country. Those are the places Nomad wins on checked prices. For 3GB, 5GB, 10GB and 50GB, Airalo is cheaper — by nine dollars at the largest size.
