T-Mobile Czech Republic SIM card: Twist prepaid and eSIM
T-Mobile sells Twist prepaid cards, with an eSIM option on three of them, but only through its online shop. Prices were read on 8 October 2026.
A T-Mobile Czech Republic SIM card is a Twist prepaid card, and it is the carrier in this series where an eSIM is clearly on offer: the site says three of the Twist cards come as a SIM or an eSIM. The catch is that the page lists online purchase, not shop sales, so the card or QR code comes to you rather than being picked up on arrival.
This is desk research from T-Mobile's public Twist page, read on 8 October 2026. We have not tested the service.
What can a visitor buy with a T-Mobile Czech Republic SIM card?
The Twist page lists a "50 min. a 2 GB" card at 150 Kč and a "10 GB dat" card at 200 Kč, both as SIM or eSIM, with starting credit of 50 Kč and 100 Kč respectively. Calls cost 4.50 Kč a minute and SMS 1.90 Kč. All cards are listed as supporting 5G.
Data comes in bundles on top. The page lists unlimited internet for a day at 69 Kč, for a weekend at 149 Kč and for a week at 249 Kč, all at up to 3 MB/s. A 1 GB bundle is 119 Kč a month. Bonus-credit promotions on the page run to 30 November 2026, so confirm the details at checkout.
Is there a T-Mobile Czech Republic eSIM for tourists?
Yes, in the sense that the Twist eSIM is not restricted to residents on the page we read. You order online, then a new phone number and a QR code link arrive by email. Scan it to install. T-Mobile says activation and use are free. The page does not describe any tourist-specific card and does not list shop sales of SIMs.
How much roaming do you get from T-Mobile prepaid?
Twist data bundles can be used in the EU at no extra charge, with limits on the unlimited passes: the day pass has an EU data limit of 3.5 GB, the weekend pass 8 GB and the week pass 13 GB. The page gives no figures for roaming calls or SMS. That matters if you plan to continue to Austria, Germany or Poland.
Do you need ID?
The Twist page does not mention registration or ID requirements, so we cannot say. Top-ups can be made by card, in the app, at T-Mobile stores, by voucher in tobacconists and post offices, or at ATMs.
What does T-Mobile say about coverage?
Only that the cards support 5G and that a coverage map exists. No percentages are given, so we cannot confirm the common view that T-Mobile is best for budget plans, or any 5G ranking.
How does it compare with a travel eSIM in the Czech Republic?
Because a T-Mobile Czech Republic SIM card is bought online and gives a local number, it sits closest to a travel eSIM of the Czech options. The difference is the local number and the need to top up for calls. Our Czech Republic SIM card comparison puts the choices side by side, and cheapest eSIM covers data-only plans. We do not name the local network behind travel eSIMs, because most providers do not publish it.
The other Czech carriers in this series are O2 and Vodafone. The Czech Republic hub links the rest, including Prague Airport.
