eSIMCard in Thailand: we no longer have a price to rank

The comparison that used to be this page

This review was one long argument that eSIMCard was the most expensive metered seller in Thailand at every size it sold. It ran the arithmetic tier by tier, and it concluded that we would not buy it.

That argument has been withdrawn along with the rows it was built on. All three Thai eSIMCard figures are out of the table here and out of the cheapest-per-gigabyte ranking across the site — not relabelled, removed.

They used to be marked indicative: our number, unread, probably about right. On 18 August 2026 we read eSIMCard's own pages, and that was not the situation. The entry plan our data priced identically across fifteen unrelated countries sells for well under half that on its Japanese page, and the sizes we listed matched neither of the tiers it actually offers. A verdict of "most expensive at every size" cannot survive the discovery that the prices behind it were not its prices.

We could not put the right prices in their place either. Our records hold a plan as four things — provider, size, days, price — and eSIMCard's catalogue does not resolve to four things. A Standard/Universal toggle swaps its whole range between two product lines, each plan carries a speed-limit flag that only appears inside its own details modal, and the carrier list varies from plan to plan. One price per size would have merged a throttled plan and a full-speed one into a single row. Our eSIMCard page sets out the full reasoning.

What Thailand actually costs

Thailand is one of the cheapest markets on this site, which makes it an easy place to price any offer. Airalo and Saily were read on 13 August 2026, Nomad on 17 August 2026.

Saily's verified 1 GB over seven days is $2.99, the lowest entry price we hold for the country. Nomad's verified 50 GB over ten days at $12.00 is the cheapest data in our Thailand set by a distance.

Uncapped, Airalo's verified ladder runs $9.50 for three days to $49.00 for thirty, and Nomad's verified plans are $16.00 for ten days, $21.00 for fifteen and $33.00 for thirty.

Those are the numbers to take to any checkout. A Thai plan that beats $8.00 for a five-gigabyte month is doing well; one that does not has three verified rivals to explain itself against.

What eSIMCard still does that nobody else does

eSIMCard is the only one of the six sellers on this site that publishes the host network at all. We read that directly: its Japan page names three Japanese operators against its plans, in a Supported Countries & Networks block. Airalo, Nomad, Saily and Holafly name no operator in any country, and eSIM Go has no consumer page on which it could. That is a genuine difference, and it came through the price check untouched.

For Thailand specifically we hold no confirmed carrier for it, and neither we nor anyone else has a host network for Airalo, Nomad, Saily or Holafly here — nobody in this market can claim a coverage advantage, in either direction, because nobody publishes the information. eSIMCard is the one seller with a listing worth opening on that question.

Hotspot tethering is reported as supported across its plans, as it is across its rivals'. It is not a differentiator either way.

Verdict

We have no Thai price for eSIMCard, so this page no longer ranks it. That is a gap in our records rather than a finding about the shop — it is a genuine retailer with a working checkout and a far wider range than our three rows suggested, and unlike eSIM Go its prices are ones a traveller can actually pay.

What we will not do is keep a verdict standing on figures we have read and found wrong. "Most expensive at every size" was a claim about eSIMCard's prices, and we no longer hold any.
