eSIM Go in Iceland: three prices that were never on sale

Three rows, and no shop behind them

Our Iceland data holds exactly three eSIM Go rows: 3GB at $10, 10GB at $22 and 20GB at $34, all over thirty days.

None of them is a price you can pay. eSIM Go sells wholesale to resellers rather than to travellers, and when we opened esim-go.com on 18 August 2026 there was no consumer price anywhere on the site — no basket, no checkout, Contact Sales instead of Buy now, and no per-country pages at all. So these figures cannot be verified in principle, not merely in practice. Our eSIM Go platform page has the whole finding.

That happens to be the second-worst thing about them. Even taken at face value, all three are beaten by prices we have read at source.

Beaten at every size, on top of everything else

At 10GB and 20GB the gap is not marginal — Nomad's verified prices are six and fourteen dollars below the eSIM Go rows. Airalo's verified 10GB month is $19.50 and its verified 20GB is $30.50, both also under. So even before the checkout question, there was no size at which this was the plan to want.

Both ends of the range are missing too. There is no 1GB row for a long weekend in Reykjavík and nothing above 20GB for a month of remote work.

What Iceland actually costs

Nomad's verified $20 for 20GB is the standout: at a dollar a gigabyte it undercuts its own 10GB plan on rate and every other 20GB price we hold. Our Holafly rows for Iceland have not been read at source and should be treated as unknown, and our eSIMCard row has been withdrawn altogether — Holafly's Iceland figures in particular contain durations, such as a one-day plan, that we found no trace of when we read Holafly's own checkout in 28 other countries.

We do not know its network, and nor does anyone

Our data holds no host network for eSIM Go in Iceland. An earlier version of this page named Síminn and Vodafone Iceland and called it the widest-coverage network for tourists; that came from generated text rather than from eSIM Go, which has no consumer page on which it could have said anything.

Nobody else publishes one either. Reading Airalo's, Nomad's, Saily's and Holafly's own country pages on 17 and 18 August 2026 produced no carrier name in any country. The Icelandic operators still attached to our Holafly rows are from the same unread batch and should not be relied on.

Where Icelandic coverage stops, it stops for every network alike. The interior highlands have none — all F-roads, including the Kjölur and Sprengisandur crossings and the approaches to Landmannalaugar. Minor roads in the remote Westfjords are unreliable, as are some fjord valleys in the north and east. Download offline maps and tell someone your route; that advice does not change with your data plan.

Verdict

Nobody should buy eSIM Go for Iceland, and nobody can. The three figures on this page are a record of what our dataset held, not an offer, and even as figures they lost to a verified price at all three sizes.

Buy Nomad if you want data volume — its verified $16 at 10GB and $20 at 20GB lead the country — or Saily at the small end. A local Icelandic SIM costs about $20 at Keflavík with no ID required and lets you choose your operator outright.

One last thing worth checking before any of this. Iceland is in the EEA, so if you are travelling from an EU or EEA country your existing contract may already cover you at home rates. That makes the best Iceland eSIM no eSIM at all. The Iceland hub has the full field.
