eSIM Go in France: the wholesale platform our data priced like a shop

The problem is not the price, it is the shop

eSIM Go sells wholesale to resellers — travel brands, apps and MVNOs that put their own name on the eSIM — and does not retail to travellers. We checked esim-go.com on 18 August 2026: no consumer price anywhere on the site, no basket, no checkout, Contact Sales where a shop puts Buy now, and no per-country consumer pages, which return 404.

So the two French figures below are not quotes and never were. They cannot be verified, because there is no published consumer price to check them against — a finding rather than a gap in our work. The full account is on our eSIM Go platform page.

The two rows we hold

No 1GB, no 5GB, no 20GB, no unlimited, and one validity window. We have kept the rows visible because this site published them as buyable for months, and because their shape is evidence: that $17 for 10GB is the identical figure our eSIM Go rows carry in eight other countries, from Australia to the United States, and the $8.50 repeats in four more.

What this page used to recommend

It told you to buy the 3GB plan — the cheapest month-long 3GB in France, it said, for someone staying weeks and mostly on WiFi.

That recommendation has gone, and not because the number moved. There is no checkout at which to accept it. It also stopped being true on the figures alone: Nomad's verified 3GB month is $6, two and a half dollars under the eSIM Go row.

This page also described eSIM Go as "a smaller retail operation than Airalo or Saily". It is not a retail operation at all, and that sentence has gone with the rest.

What France actually costs

Every price here was read off the seller's own site, and every one can be paid.

Nomad leads every metered size in France on checked prices, with Airalo's verified $16 and Saily's verified $16.99 next at 10GB. Airalo also sells shorter windows at the same sizes — a verified 10GB over 7 days at $15 — which suits a week better than a month-long plan does.

eSIMCard is a different case and the difference matters. esimcard.com has a real checkout, so its prices can be paid; ours were simply wrong, and all 78 rows were withdrawn on 18 August 2026 once we read its site. eSIM Go's rows are prices nobody can pay at all.

Network and coverage

Nobody in this market publishes a host network. We read Airalo's, Nomad's, Saily's and Holafly's own country pages on 17 and 18 August 2026 and none of them names a carrier for any country — the operators our data once attributed to Holafly's listing were nowhere on Holafly's site. eSIM Go could not name one even if it wanted to, having no consumer page at all.

Our France rows once put Orange and SFR against Nomad, and Orange, SFR and Bouygues against Holafly. Both came from this site's own data and both were wrong. Network is simply not a variable you can choose here.

Before you buy anything

If you are travelling from elsewhere in the EU or EEA, check your own tariff first: roam-like-at-home means your domestic allowance normally works in France at no extra cost, and nothing on this page beats free.

Verdict

There is nothing to buy. The two eSIM Go figures record what our dataset held, the recommendation built on the smaller one has been withdrawn, and the comparison that ranked it against Airalo and Saily was invalid — it set a wholesale rate card against shops.
