Airalo in France: the full price ladder, and one claim withdrawn

Airalo prices France by size and by window, which produces a longer list than most providers and a couple of ways to save. All twelve of these were verified on 13 August 2026.

There is no unlimited option for France. If that is what you want, Nomad sells verified uncapped plans at $11, $18, $25 and $33 for three, five, seven and ten days, and Holafly sells them from an indicative $5.90 for a single day up to $59.90 for 30.

An earlier version of this page quoted higher numbers throughout, including $18 for 10GB and $27 for 20GB. Those were wrong. Airalo France is cheaper than we previously told you, by around $2 to $4 at the middle and upper tiers.

Buying the right window, not the biggest one

The spread between durations is small — $1 separates Airalo's 10GB over 7 days from the same 10GB over 30 — so the instinct to buy the longest window is not expensive. But it runs the wrong way for short trips.

A long weekend in Paris does not need 30 days of validity. 3GB over 3 days at $6.50 costs $2.17 per GB; the same data over 7 days is $7. Ten days across Paris and the Loire on 10GB/15 days is $15.50 rather than $16. These are small sums, but they are the only lever Airalo gives you, and the arithmetic is at least honest: cost per GB falls steadily from $4.00 at the 1GB plan to $0.71 at 50GB.

If you are going to overshoot, overshoot on size rather than days. 20GB for 15 days at $22.50 is better value per gigabyte than 10GB for 30 days at $16.

The Orange claim is gone

An earlier version of this page said Airalo's France plan runs on Orange, and built a recommendation on top of it: buy Airalo for the Loire, for Normandy, for Provence, because of rural reach. We have withdrawn all of it.

Airalo does not publish a host network for France, or for anywhere else. Its plans are sold under its own product naming, which is a retail label and not a carrier. We had no source for Orange, and the coverage advice that followed from it was unsupported twice over — first in naming the network, then in recommending the product because of it.

What replaces it is thinner and true. We can tell you what Airalo's France plans cost and what they include. We cannot tell you whose towers you will be on, and neither can Airalo's own listing.

Against the rest of the field

France is one of the few markets where Airalo does not take every size. Saily's French prices were read off its own site on 16 August 2026 and Nomad's off its own on 17 August 2026, so every ladder here is verified rather than inferred.

Every row goes against Airalo, and the reason is new: Nomad's French prices used to sit in our data unchecked and roughly $4 to $7 too high at each size. Read from its own site, they undercut Airalo at 3, 5, 10, 20 and 50 GB, by two dollars at the middle sizes and fifty cents at the top. Saily also comes in a cent under at 5GB and fifty-one cents under at 20GB, and its $3.99 entry plan buys 7 days against Airalo's 3. That retires the line this page used to carry about Airalo being the lowest verified price at every size above the entry tier.

The rescue is duration. Saily sells nothing shorter than 30 days above 1GB, and Airalo's shorter windows are cheaper than Saily's monthlies at both contested sizes: 5GB for 15 days is $10.00 and 20GB for 15 days is $22.50. If your trip fits a fortnight, Airalo wins at every size on the ladder.

At the top there is no contest at all. Nobody else in our France data sells 50GB, and Airalo's $35.50 works out at $0.71 a gigabyte — the best rate we hold for the country by some distance.

One caveat still stands on the rest of the field. The Holafly rows are indicative rather than checked, so a rival that has quietly cut $2 would not show up here. eSIMCard is no longer in the comparison at all — its rows were withdrawn on 18 August 2026 after we read its site. When to buy nothing at all

If you live in the EU or EEA, your own SIM already works in France at domestic rates under roam-like-at-home, and no plan on this page improves on free. That covers a large share of the people who arrive in France every year.

If you want a French number rather than data alone, a local prepaid SIM runs around $15, sold by Orange France, SFR, Bouygues Telecom and Free Mobile — but you will need your passport, because registration requires ID.
