eSIM Go in Finland: nothing on sale, so here is the market instead

First, check whether you need to buy anything

Finland is in the EU. If your phone is already on an EU or EEA plan, your domestic allowance follows you here at domestic rates, and buying a travel eSIM is money spent on nothing. That single fact removes most European visitors from this page's audience before the first price is mentioned.

What follows is for everyone else — arrivals from the UK on a plan without EU roaming, and travellers from North America, Asia, Australia and elsewhere.

What we hold on eSIM Go in Finland

Nothing, and there is nothing to hold. eSIM Go sells wholesale to resellers rather than to travellers. Checked on 18 August 2026, esim-go.com carries no consumer price anywhere: no basket, no checkout, Contact Sales instead of Buy now, and no per-country consumer pages, which return 404. Our dataset carries eSIM Go rows for 16 large markets, and not one of them can be verified for the same reason.

So the missing Finland row is not a research gap. There is no Finnish price published for anyone to read. Our eSIM Go platform page has the whole finding.

Two things this page used to say have been removed. It quoted eSIM Go at $8.50 for 3GB over 30 days in Finland. That number came from a generated corpus whose prices, when we later checked them against providers' own sites, were wrong far more often than right — and no traveller could have paid it in any case. It also said eSIM Go operated on DNA and Elisa here. It publishes no host network, having no consumer page on which to publish one, and neither does anyone else: we read Airalo's, Nomad's, Saily's and Holafly's own country pages on 17 and 18 August 2026 and found no carrier named for any country.

What a Finnish plan is worth

This is the Finland market as we hold it. Every figure was read from the provider's own site: Airalo's on 13 August 2026, Saily's and Holafly's on 18 August.

Two patterns fall out of that, and both are useful when judging an unfamiliar seller — including the smaller apps and travel brands that resell wholesale capacity under their own name.

The first is that duration is nearly free in Finland. Airalo charges $9 for 5GB over a week and $10 for the same 5GB over a month. At 10GB the gap is a dollar; at 20GB it is fifty cents. If a provider wants a meaningful premium for a longer validity window, it is out of step with the market.

The second is that the cheap end is crowded and the middle is not. Below 3GB there is a cent between the two cheapest sellers. Airalo's verified $36 buys 50GB over 30 days, the only plan above 20GB we hold from anyone. A quote of $8 to $12 for 5GB over a month is competitive; $20 for 10GB is not, because $15.50 buys it verified.

The part price cannot fix

No travel eSIM in our data lets you choose which Finnish network you land on, which matters more here than in most of Europe. Coverage is strong along the main E-roads and in the tourist towns, but it thins out in the Lapland wilderness and fell areas — Saariselkä, Kevo — on remote lake islands, and in some border wilderness. If your trip is a week in Helsinki and Turku, any of the plans above will do. If it is a hut-to-hut walk in the north, no eSIM brand solves that problem, and a local SIM or a satellite messenger is the honest answer.

A Finnish prepaid SIM runs about $12 at the airport and gives you a local number, but registration requires a passport or national ID, so it is a counter and a form rather than a QR code. An eSIM needs no passport at all, which is the real reason short-trip visitors buy one.
