We track 94 countries. eSIMCard appeared in 31 of them, which made it one of the broader catalogues we held — broader than eSIM Go's, though narrower than Nomad's 47. Serbia is not one of the 31. No size, no duration, no price, no network.

There are two innocent explanations: eSIMCard does not sell a Serbia plan, or it does and we have not captured one. We cannot tell which from here, and we are not going to dress a guess as a finding. What this page can do is hand you the numbers that let you judge an eSIMCard quote in about a minute, whatever its checkout shows you today.

Why we hold no eSIMCard price anywhere now

This blank used to be specific to Serbia. It no longer is. We carried 78 eSIMCard rows across 31 countries; on 18 August 2026 we read eSIMCard's own pages and found them wrong, and every one of those rows has been withdrawn from the tables and from the cheapest-per-gigabyte ranking.

We could not replace them with the right figures either. eSIMCard prices the same size over the same duration at two or three different amounts, depending on a Standard/Universal toggle, a per-plan speed limit hidden inside each plan's details modal, and carrier sets that vary plan by plan. Our records hold only provider, size, days and price, so any single figure we stored would flatten a throttled plan and a full-speed one into one row. Our eSIMCard page sets out the reasoning.

None of that is a verdict on the shop. eSIMCard has a working checkout, a catalogue far wider than our rows ever showed, and it is the only one of the six sellers here that publishes the host network its plans use — its Japan page names three Japanese operators, where Airalo, Nomad, Saily and Holafly name none anywhere. What we have no read of is its Serbia listing, which is why this page still prices the market instead.

What this page used to say, and why it is gone

The previous version stated that eSIMCard operates in Serbia on A1 Serbia, and that hotspot tethering is supported. Neither had a source behind it.

Host networks are the specific trap. Nobody has read a Serbian host network off a provider's own site — every network value in our Serbia data was scraped out of older generated prose, the same prose whose prices turned out wrong far more often than right. Even for the providers that do sell here, we describe the network as the provider's own unconfirmed listing rather than as fact. For eSIMCard, with no plan on our books at all, the carrier name had simply been borrowed from a rival's row.

The old copy also gave Serbia a $2.00-per-GB floor. The verified floor is $0.70, on Nomad's 50 GB month. That is the scale of error the original corpus was capable of, and the reason we now delete a number rather than round it.

The numbers any eSIMCard quote has to beat

Cheapest we hold at each size. Airalo's Serbia prices were read from its own site on 13 August 2026 and Nomad's from its own on 18 August; the Saily and Holafly figures are indicative — carried in our data without a recent check of their checkouts, so treat those as approximately right rather than as quotes.

Read the top of that ladder before you shop at the bottom of it. Serbia's cheapest gigabyte is not in a small plan — it is Nomad's verified 50GB month, at 70 cents a gigabyte — more than five times better value than the $3.99 entry price. Small plans in Serbia are expensive per unit and always have been.

So: an eSIMCard quote needs to land under roughly $2 per GB at 5GB and $1.50 at 10GB to be worth a second look, and under 70 cents per GB if you actually need volume. Then check validity. Airalo charges about a dollar to stretch the same allowance from a week to a month here, so a rival's cheap 7-day plan is not the bargain it looks like on a trip that might slip.

Coverage you cannot choose on

Serbia has real gaps, and they are worth knowing wherever you buy: the remote Stara Planina mountains, some deep sections of the Djerdap Gorge, and very rural villages in the south. The Kosovo border area is served by a separate network, so do not assume a Serbia plan behaves normally there — ask the provider before you rely on it.

What you cannot do is pick a provider to fix those gaps. No Serbian host network is confirmed for any eSIM we hold, so anyone telling you eSIMCard rides one carrier and therefore covers the gorge is guessing twice over. If reliable signal in the mountains matters more than price, a local SIM bought from the carrier itself is the only version of this decision where you know what you are buying.

The local SIM, and what it costs you in time

A Serbian prepaid SIM runs about $14 at the airport, from Telekom Srbija, Yettel Serbia or A1 Serbia. That is less than Airalo's verified 10GB month and it comes with a Serbian number, which helps if you are calling apartments or car hire.

The price is your passport. Serbia requires a passport or ID to register a prepaid SIM, so it means a counter, a form and a queue.
