Nomad in Greece: checked at source, and cheapest at nearly every size

The range

Every figure was read from nomadesim.com on 18 August 2026. All plans are data-only, with no calls or SMS, and tethering is supported throughout.

An earlier version of this page held five plans rather than ten, priced the 1GB week at $5.00, the 5GB month at $12.00, the 10GB at $16.00, the 20GB at $22.00 and the unlimited week at $23.00, and said none of it had been checked. The check has now been done. Four of those five figures were wrong, and the two conclusions the page drew from them — that Nomad is the dearest way into Greece and that its range stops at 20GB — were wrong with them.

The shape of the range is conventional: the rate improves steadily with size, from $4.00 a gigabyte at the bottom to $0.62 at the top.

Where it wins outright

At 10GB and 20GB across a month, nothing else in Greece is near it.

All three columns are now verified — Saily read from its own site on 16 August 2026, Airalo from its own on 13 August 2026, Nomad from its own on 17 August 2026.

Ten gigabytes over a month comes in $2 under Airalo and $4.99 under Saily. Twenty comes in $14.50 under Airalo and $14.99 under Saily — more than two thirds of the price of the plan again. Fifty comes in $11 under Airalo, and Saily does not sell that size at all. Saily's large plans used to look closer than this: we carried them at $19.99 and $29.99, and the verified prices are $3 and $6 higher.

Unlimited is the other win, and a bigger one than this page used to claim. Nomad sells four lengths, not one: $11 for three days against Airalo's $11.50 and Holafly's $11.70, $18 for five against $19 and $19.50, $25 for seven against $27 and $27.30, and $33 for ten against $34 and $36.90. It is the cheapest unlimited at every length it sells. Beyond ten days it sells nothing, and Airalo has the fortnight and the month to itself.

There is no host network to weigh

Nomad publishes no host network for Greece, or for any other country. An earlier version of this page said its own materials name Cosmote and treated that as a lead worth mentioning. It was not something Nomad publishes, and it has been removed rather than softened.

So do not buy this for coverage. Greece's weak spots are specific and well documented: the smaller Cyclades and Dodecanese islands, Folegandros, Sikinos and Kastelórizo among them; the mountain interiors of the mainland and Crete; inland Corfu; and long stretches of Aegean ferry route with no signal between islands. Where it loses

The entry plan, marginally. Four dollars for a gigabyte over seven days is a better deal than this page used to describe — it beats Saily's verified $4.49 for the same window and matches Airalo's $4 for three days. An eSIMCard row used to undercut all three; it was withdrawn after we read eSIMCard's site and found the figure wrong.

Duration. Every metered plan except the 1GB runs exactly 30 days. There is no fortnight at any size. Airalo sells 3, 7, 15 and 30-day versions of most of its Greek sizes, so a ten-day trip needing 10GB may still be better served there if you want the validity to match the trip.

Long unlimited. The unlimited ladder stops at ten days. For a fortnight or a month of unlimited data, Airalo's $48 and $69 are the only options.

Verdict

For metered data in Greece at any size from 3GB up, this is the answer and it is not a close call. For unlimited up to ten days, it is the answer again. The 50GB month at $31 is the cheapest data the country sells, from any seller, at any size.

The one exception left is Airalo, for unlimited beyond ten days. Everything here has now been read off Nomad's own store, so the confidence warning this page used to carry no longer applies.

One thing to settle before buying anything: Greece is in the EU, so an EU or EEA SIM roams here at domestic rates and you may need nothing at all. Greek SIMs are also sold locally with no ID, over the counter, for about $15 at the airport. The 10GB month undercuts that comfortably. The 1GB week does not.
