eSIM Go in the UK: three plans, and no shop to buy them from

The finding, before the prices

eSIM Go sells wholesale to resellers, not to travellers. We opened esim-go.com on 18 August 2026 looking for a UK price and found no price anywhere on the site: no basket, no checkout, and Contact Sales where a shop puts Buy now. There are no per-country consumer pages either — the country URLs we tried all returned 404.

So the three UK figures below are not quotes. They are rows in our dataset for a product that is not retailed, and they can never be verified, because there is no checkout at which to read them. The fuller account is on our eSIM Go platform page.

The three rows we hold

We have kept them visible rather than deleting them, because this site published them for months as though you could pay them, and hiding that would be the second mistake.

What this page used to say, and why it has gone

It said eSIM Go was the cheapest thing we held at 10GB and 20GB in the United Kingdom, and told you to check its product page before buying. Both halves were wrong.

The verdict was invalid, not merely unverified. Ranking a wholesale rate card against Airalo's and Saily's retail checkouts compares two different things, and calling the wholesale side "cheapest" recommends a purchase that cannot be made. The instruction to go and check was worse: there is no product page to open.

The $14 also carries the same fingerprint as the rest of the eSIM Go data. Across 16 countries our rows repeat a flat $17 for 10GB in nine of them and $8.50 for 3GB in five — figures that do not vary the way real prices vary between markets.

What to buy in the UK instead

Every price below was read off the provider's own site, and every one of these is a plan you can actually complete a purchase for.

Nomad holds the metered middle of the UK market on prices we have confirmed: $17.50 at 10GB and $25 at 20GB, against Saily's verified $18.99 and $30.99 and Airalo's verified $19 and $31. If you are staying a month and using data properly, Airalo's verified 50GB at $39 is 78 cents a gigabyte, better than anything at 20GB.

At the small end, Airalo's verified 1GB over three days is $4 and Saily's verified 1GB over seven days is $4.49 — the right shape for a stopover, and something eSIM Go's data never offered even on paper.

Network and coverage

Our rows hold no host network for eSIM Go in the United Kingdom, and it has no consumer page on which it could publish one. That is not a gap peculiar to this provider: we read Airalo's, Nomad's, Saily's and Holafly's own country pages on 17 and 18 August 2026 and not one of them names a carrier anywhere. The UK operators our data once attributed to Holafly's listing came from this site's own generated text.

So network is not a variable you can optimise here, whoever you buy from. Plan instead around the places where UK coverage is weak on every network: the Scottish Highlands and islands — the Outer Hebrides, Orkney and Shetland in particular — rural Wales, the North Yorkshire Moors, parts of Cornwall, remote Lake District valleys, and the insides of thick-walled old buildings.

No travel eSIM in our UK data comes with a British phone number, so SMS codes will not arrive on any of them.

The local SIM

The UK asks for no identification to buy a prepaid SIM — you pay and it works. A tourist SIM runs about $10 at the airport and gets you a UK number as well, which no eSIM here does.

That makes the eSIM's advantage in Britain narrower than in most countries: it is the convenience of landing already connected, not a saving over the shop in the arrivals hall.

Verdict

There is nothing to buy. eSIM Go's UK numbers are a record of what our old dataset contained, not an option for your trip, and the comparison that once put them top of the table has been withdrawn.
