eSIM Go in Spain: undercut on every figure, and not for sale anyway

Two rows, and no checkout behind them

Our Spain data holds two eSIM Go rows: 3GB for 30 days at $9, and 10GB for 30 days at $17.

Earlier versions of this page said the live price might be lower and told you to go and check. There is nothing to check. eSIM Go sells wholesale to resellers — travel brands, apps and MVNOs that put their own name on the eSIM — and does not retail to travellers. We checked esim-go.com on 18 August 2026: no consumer price anywhere on the site, no basket, no checkout, Contact Sales where a shop puts Buy now, and no per-country consumer pages, which return 404.

So these figures can never be verified, and the advice to confirm them at source has been withdrawn along with the comparison it supported. Our eSIM Go platform page sets out the whole finding.

They lost on the numbers as well

Spain is a keen market and both eSIM Go rows sat above prices we have read at source.

At 3GB, the row asks $9 — $3.00 a gigabyte, the worst rate of any metered figure we hold for Spain. Saily's verified 3GB month is $6.99 and Nomad's is $6. Airalo's verified 5GB month is $9: the same money, two extra gigabytes, the same window.

What Spain actually costs

Spain is among the cheapest countries we track. Airalo's verified 20GB month at $20 is a dollar a gigabyte, and its verified unlimited month is $63 against Holafly's verified $64.50.

The host network is not published

Nobody in this market publishes a host network. We read Airalo's, Nomad's, Saily's and Holafly's own country pages on 17 and 18 August 2026 and none of them names a carrier for any country — the operators our data once attributed to Holafly's listing were nowhere on Holafly's site. eSIM Go could not name one even if it wanted to, having no consumer page at all.

An earlier version of this page named a Spanish carrier for eSIM Go, and another named operators for Holafly. Both came from our own data rather than from any seller, and both have gone.

It matters less in Spain than somewhere with one dominant rural operator: the places where Spanish signal genuinely fails, fail for everyone. The gaps worth knowing are the rural interior of Extremadura and La Mancha, parts of the Pyrenean hiking routes, remote Camino de Santiago stages through the forested Galician interior, and rural corners of the smaller Canary Islands. No travel eSIM patches those, and switching provider will not either. If your trip is Madrid, Barcelona, Seville, the Costas and the AVE lines between them, none of it is your problem.

Before you buy anything

If your phone number is from an EU or EEA country, roam-like-at-home applies in Spain and your domestic allowance travels with you at no extra cost. This page is for everyone else: UK, US, Canadian, Australian, Latin American and Asian arrivals, plus EU customers whose plans cap roaming days.

A physical Spanish SIM is the other route: around $18 at the airport, with a passport or ID needed at registration. That is a fair trade only if you want a Spanish number for calls.

Verdict

There is nothing to buy from eSIM Go in Spain, and there never was — the two rows are a record of what our dataset held rather than an offer, and the "check the live price" advice pointed at a page that does not exist.

Airalo and Nomad both sell a verified 10GB month at $14, three dollars under the eSIM Go row, and Nomad's verified $6 leads at 3GB. The full ladder is on the Spain hub.
