Digi Mobil Spain SIM card: prepaid plans and how to start

Digi Mobil's prepaid plans run from 3 euros to 15 euros a month, but you must request the SIM at a point of sale first. Its eSIM claim is general.

A Digi Mobil Spain SIM card is the low-price prepaid option in this series: Digi's prepaid page lists plans from 3 euros a month for 5 GB to 15 euros for 250 GB. The obstacle for a visitor is that you first have to request the SIM at a point of sale. The page does not say whether prepaid comes as an eSIM, and it says nothing about ID.

This is desk research from Digi's public page, read on 8 October 2026. We have not tested the service.

What can a visitor buy with a Digi Mobil Spain SIM card?

The prepaid section lists plans at 3 euros for 5 GB and 100 national minutes, 5 euros for 25 GB with 100 national and international minutes, 7 euros for 50 GB with unlimited national calls, 10 euros for 100 GB, 12 euros for 150 GB and 15 euros for 250 GB with 2,000 international minutes. These are described as "final price", and data is cumulative if you do not use it. Plans reactivate automatically while you have balance, and you can cancel the reactivation at no cost. Unused minutes and SMS are not refundable or carried over.

5G offers top speed "in all compatible zones", which is conditional. Roaming is available in more than 50 countries, but the page gives no cap. There are no coverage figures, so check Digi's coverage map for your destination.

How does it compare with a travel eSIM in Spain?

A Digi Mobil Spain SIM card is cheap but needs a shop visit before it works, which is a poor fit for the first hour in the country. A travel eSIM can be ready before you land. Our Spain SIM card comparison sets the options side by side, where to buy a SIM card in Spain and the airport SIM card guide cover shops, and cheapest eSIM covers data-only plans. We do not name the local network behind travel eSIMs unless the provider publishes it.

The other Spanish carriers in this series are Movistar, Vodafone Spain, Orange Spain and Yoigo. The Spain hub links the rest.
