What is in the Yoigo Spain SIM card prepaid plan?

Yoigo's prepaid page lists 50 GB per 28 days at "up to 5G" speed, unlimited calls to national fixed and mobile numbers, no contract and free shipping, for 15 euros including VAT. It includes EU roaming under a fair-use limit that Yoigo states as 22.5 GB on the 15-euro tariff, covering the EU, Gibraltar, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Moldova, Norway and Ukraine. The plan renews automatically every 28 days if you have enough balance. SMS to Spanish numbers cost 0.25 euros each. There is a 14-day return right from delivery.

How does a Yoigo SIM reach you?

Orders arrive in 2 to 3 days on the mainland (5 for the Balearics, 7 for the Canaries, Ceuta and Melilla). For security, it is delivered only to the line holder, who must show an identity document and sign the delivery note. That is a problem if you are only staying in Spain for a few days, so order early or choose another route.

How do you get a Yoigo eSIM?

Yoigo's help page says an eSIM is only available in Yoigo, Nexus and Maslife shops. The shop sends an email with a QR code, PIN and PUK; you scan the code, confirm with the PIN and, if it replaces a physical SIM, remove the old one. Each QR code is single-use. The page does not say whether prepaid lines can have an eSIM, and its device list looks dated.

What does Yoigo say about coverage?

Only "up to 5G" speed, with no coverage figures. We cannot confirm Yoigo's rural reach.

Orange's blog says MasOrange, announced on 3 April 2024, was formed by Orange España and Grupo MásMóvil and keeps Yoigo among its brands. Orange's own page is Orange Spain.

How does it compare with a travel eSIM in Spain?

A Yoigo Spain SIM card needs delivery to the holder, or a shop visit for the eSIM, so it is slower to start than a travel eSIM. In return you get a Spanish number and a full month of data. Our Spain SIM card comparison sets the options side by side, where to buy a SIM card in Spain and the airport SIM card guide cover shops, and cheapest eSIM covers data-only plans. We do not name the local network behind travel eSIMs unless the provider publishes it.

The other Spanish carriers in this series are Movistar, Vodafone Spain, Orange Spain and Digi Mobil. The Spain hub links the rest.
