Saily in Spain: it owns the bottom of the market and loses the top

The cheapest Spain plan we can actually confirm

$3.99 buys 1GB over 7 days. That is the lowest price on any Spain plan in our data, from any provider, and it is a verified figure — read off Saily's own site on 13 August 2026 rather than inferred.

That second half matters here more than the headline. A large slice of the Spanish market's pricing in our dataset is indicative: numbers we hold but have not checked at source. Saily's is not, and neither is Airalo's — those two ladders were both confirmed the same day. When they disagree with a third provider, we back the pair we have seen.

What $3.99 buys you is a week and a gigabyte. That is enough for maps, messaging, boarding passes and the occasional lookup on a city break, and nowhere near enough if you stream anything.

The full range

Five rungs, one duration above the entry plan: everything from 3GB up runs 30 days. No 7-day or 15-day variants, no unlimited tier, no 50GB. It is a deliberately simple menu, and the simplicity is part of what you are choosing.

Where it stops being the cheapest

At 1GB Saily wins outright. Airalo's verified 1GB is $4.00 and lasts three days rather than seven — a cent more for less than half the validity.

From 5GB upward the order reverses, and it does not reverse back:

Both columns are verified prices, so this is a like-for-like comparison rather than a guess against a guess. The premium is not enormous — under $3 at the widest point — but it is consistent, and it grows with the plan. If you are buying 20GB for a month in Spain, Airalo is simply the cheaper purchase, and it also sells a 50GB tier at $39 that Saily has no answer to at all.

Saily's 3GB for 30 days at $6.99 is the most interesting plan it sells in Spain, because nothing else in the market is shaped like it.

Airalo's 3GB tiers run 3 days ($5.50) or 7 days ($6.00). Cheaper, but they expire. If your trip is a fortnight of light use — a couple of hundred megabytes a day for navigation and messaging — Saily's $6.99 covers the whole thing, where Airalo would push you up to its 5GB 30-day plan at $9. That is a $2 saving in Saily's favour, and it is the clearest case for buying it.

The general rule that falls out: Saily is better when your trip is long and your usage is light; Airalo is better when your trip is short or your usage is heavy.

Network, tethering, and what is not included

Saily does not publish which Spanish carrier its plans roam onto, and we hold no confirmed answer, so we will not name one. Four of the six providers we track in Spain are in the same position. It matters less here than it would elsewhere — Spanish signal thins in the same places for everyone, namely the rural interior of Extremadura and La Mancha, parts of the Pyrenean hiking routes, remote Camino de Santiago stages through the forested Galician interior, and rural pockets of the smaller Canary Islands.

Hotspot tethering is supported across the range. There are no calls or SMS: data only, with messaging apps carrying conversations.

Verdict

Buy Saily for Spain if your trip is short and small — $3.99 for a week of 1GB is the best entry price on the market and we have seen it with our own eyes — or if you want 3GB stretched across a month, where its $6.99 has no direct competitor.

Above that, buy Airalo. The gap is $1 to $3 depending on size, always in Airalo's favour, and both sets of numbers are confirmed.
