Saily in Slovakia: five plans, not three, and the win now reaches 3GB

The five plans

All five were read off Saily's own site on 18 August 2026. This page previously listed three, and stated that Saily sold nothing above 5GB for Slovakia. It sells two larger plans, and they are the two where it is worst value.

There is still no unlimited Saily plan for Slovakia.

The headline is true, and narrow

At 1GB, Saily wins on both axes. Its $3.99 undercuts Airalo's verified $4 by a cent, and where Airalo gives you three days to use that gigabyte, Saily gives you seven. Holafly has nothing at this size at all, and Nomad's 1GB week is $4.50. If your Slovak trip is a weekend in Bratislava — maps between the Old Town and the castle, a few messages, no video — this is the correct purchase and there is nothing to argue about.

That is also the whole of Saily's advantage in Slovakia.

Above 1GB, it is the dearest option we hold

Not immediately. On verified prices the inversion happens two tiers up, not one.

At 3GB Saily's $7.99 buys a month where Airalo's cheaper $7 buys three days and its $7.50 buys seven. For anything but a weekend that is Saily's row.

At 5GB Airalo is 49 cents cheaper over the same window — this page previously said $2.49, on a Saily price of $12.99 that had never been read off Saily. The real gap is small enough that it should not decide anything.

At 10GB and 20GB it stops being close. Saily is $2.99 above the two cheapest at 10GB and $9.99 above Nomad at 20GB, and its best rate, $1.50 a gigabyte at 20GB, is beaten by Airalo's verified 20GB at $1.20 and its 50GB at $0.72. Saily sells no 50GB plan here.

One thing worth noting: Saily does not shadow Airalo by a cent in Slovakia the way it does in most countries. Airalo's Slovak prices are $10.50, $16 and $24 rather than round dollars, and Saily prices well clear of them.

Network, tethering and coverage

An earlier version of this page said Saily's own listing pointed to T-Mobile SK and Orange. Saily does not publish a host network for Slovakia, or for anywhere else, and neither do Airalo, Nomad or Holafly. The Slovak operators once shown against Holafly's rows came from the same generated data, not from Holafly. No host network in our dataset has been verified for any provider in any country.

The source we hold lists Saily's Slovak plans as supporting hotspot tethering. Confirm it at checkout if you need to work off a laptop, but it is a real distinction from Holafly, which our data lists as not permitting tethering.

Slovak coverage is good in the towns and predictable where it fails: the High Tatras ridges above the ski resort areas, remote valley hiking trails, and some eastern border regions. The show caves — Domica, the Ochtinská Aragonite Cave — have no underground signal. Those gaps apply to every provider on this page equally, and no travel eSIM lets you pick which network you land on.

No passport is needed to buy an eSIM, which is the practical advantage over a Slovak prepaid SIM at around $9 from the airport; that one requires a passport or national ID at registration.

Who should buy it

Buy Saily for Slovakia if you want the smallest, cheapest plan available and you are confident 1GB will do. It is the best entry-level option in the country and the seven-day window is generous for the price.

Buy it at 3GB too, where $7.99 for a full month beats anything else at that size over that window.

At 5GB it is a coin toss with Airalo, 49 cents apart. At 10GB and 20GB, do not: Airalo and Nomad are level at $16 for 10GB against Saily's $18.99, and Nomad's $20 for 20GB is ten dollars under Saily's $29.99.
