Saily in Singapore: the headline price is a penny, the validity is the point

Five plans, and a very thin lead

Saily sells 1GB for 7 days at $3.99, then 3, 5, 10 and 20GB over 30 days at $6.99, $9.99, $15.99 and $22.99. Every one of those was read off Saily's own site on 18 August 2026. Hotspot tethering is supported across the range; no plan includes calls or SMS.

Look at the right-hand column. Saily is one cent under Airalo at 5, 10 and 20GB, and one cent under it at 1GB too. Four sizes, four pennies. That is not two companies competing; it is one of them shaving a cent off the other's number.

So the "cheapest Singapore eSIM" line is technically ours to make and practically worth nothing against Airalo. It is worth something against everyone else at some sizes and nothing at others, which the next section sets out.

The real difference is time, not money

What does separate the entry plans is validity. Saily gives you seven days on that 1GB; Airalo's $4 gives you three. For a week in Singapore on light usage — maps, messaging, the occasional lookup, hotel and café wi-fi doing the heavy lifting — that is a straightforwardly better fit at effectively the same price.

One gigabyte over seven days is tight, though. It survives navigation and WhatsApp. It does not survive video, uploading photos at full size, or tethering a laptop for an afternoon. If any of that is your week, the 1GB plan is a false economy and you want the 5GB at $9.99.

Where the ladder gets weaker

Nomad is the provider that actually undercuts Saily in Singapore, and it does so at every size where the two overlap above 1GB: $6.50 against $6.99 at 3GB, $9 against $9.99 at 5GB, $14 against $15.99 at 10GB and $21 against $22.99 at 20GB. All four Nomad figures are verified.

Airalo's shorter-duration plans also come in below Saily's months if your trip is short: 5GB over 7 days at $9, 10GB over 7 days at $15, 20GB over 15 days at $22.

The range stops at 20GB. For a heavy month, Nomad's verified 50GB at $31 is 62 cents a gigabyte and the cheapest rate in the country by a wide margin.

What we do not know about the network

An earlier version of this page said Saily runs on Singtel in Singapore. That was never sourced. Saily does not publish a host network for Singapore — or for anywhere else, since we hold no operator against a single Saily row in any of the forty-eight countries we cover — and nor do Airalo or eSIM Go here. The carriers our data once carried against Holafly's, Nomad's and eSIMCard's Singapore rows came from this site's own generated text rather than from any of them.

Singapore is the country where that gap costs you least. It is 725 km² of continuous urban coverage with four operators competing over the same small area, and no rural edge for one network to serve better than another. If knowing your carrier genuinely matters — a work phone, a specific band requirement — buy a physical prepaid SIM at Changi for around $12, choose the operator at the counter, and skip the guesswork. No ID is required.

Verdict

Buy Saily's 1GB / 7 days for a light week in Singapore: seven days of validity for four dollars is the right shape for a lot of trips, and the price is fine even if the one-cent crown is meaningless.

Above that, Nomad is cheaper at every size Saily sells, by 49 cents at 3GB and by two dollars at 10 and 20GB. And anyone needing more than 20GB has to look elsewhere entirely — the options are on our Singapore hub.
