Fastweb Mobile Italy SIM card: monthly plans, not a tourist SIM

Fastweb Mobile sells monthly 5G plans online. Here is what its offer page says, and what it does not say about visitors.

Is a Fastweb Mobile Italy SIM card a good choice for a visitor?

Probably not for a short trip. A Fastweb Mobile Italy SIM card is a monthly plan sold online, and Fastweb's offer page does not mention visitors, prepaid cards or what a non-resident needs to sign up. We read Fastweb's pages on 8 October 2026; this is desk research, not a test. The Italy hub lists carriers with tourist offers.

What does Fastweb Mobile sell?

On the offer page we read, there are three plans. Start is €9.95 a month with 150 GB, Pro is €11.95 with 250 GB, and Ultra is €19.95 with unlimited data, all described as 5G where available. Start includes 32 GB of EU roaming, Pro 45 GB, and Ultra says EU roaming is included without limits, plus 5 GB extra for the EU. Shipping is free. The page mentions no SIM or eSIM fee. These are prices as read on the date above, so check Fastweb's offer page before relying on them.

Note that it is a monthly plan, not a Fastweb Mobile prepaid card.

Fastweb Mobile eSIM

The offer page does not mention eSIM. We saw Fastweb eSIM pages listed but did not read them, so we make no claim about who can get one or how long it takes.

What ID does Fastweb need?

The offer page does not mention identification, or any restriction for foreign customers. We cannot tell you whether a visitor can complete activation, and the same goes for delivery: a SIM sent by post to an Italian address is of little use if you are only in Italy for a week.

Fair-use limits

Although traffic is described as unlimited, the terms set monthly caps of 10,000 outgoing minutes, 1,250 outgoing texts and 600 GB of data. They also require incoming voice and text traffic to be at least 60 percent of outgoing. Fastweb may suspend or end a service it considers misused.

Fastweb Mobile coverage

Fastweb says 5G is only available in areas covered by the service, and links to a coverage page. It gives no population percentage on the page we read.

Fastweb against a travel eSIM

A travel eSIM is bought before you fly and needs no Italian address or identification. Fastweb suits someone staying for months; for a trip, compare TIM and WindTre, which sell tourist offers, in our Italy SIM card comparison, and see the cheapest eSIM page.
