e& Egypt SIM card: traveler bundles and eSIM, formerly Etisalat

e& Egypt is the renamed Etisalat Egypt. It has had traveler bundles, but we could not open its current tourist page, so we give no prices.

Is an e& Egypt SIM card a good choice for a visitor?

We cannot give a confident yes. e& Egypt (formerly Etisalat Egypt) appears to sell traveler bundles, but its website largely failed to load for us, so this page stays short. The honest summary is that an e& Egypt SIM card is worth a look if you find one at the airport, and Vodafone is the carrier with the clearer tourist page.

What are the e& Egypt traveler bundles?

e& Egypt's own pages still carry both names: "e&" and the older "Etisalat". A search extract of its Traveling to Egypt page described four traveler bundles priced in Egyptian pounds, with the cheapest at EGP 200 for 7 GB and the dearest at EGP 600 for 40 GB, each with local minutes and some international calling. The two lower ones are listed as not renewable and the two higher ones as renewable three times. That page returned an error when we tried to open it directly, and another result was marked as about two years old, so do not treat those figures as current. The current prices are on e&'s site.

Does e& Egypt sell an eSIM?

e&'s site has an eSIM service, which it describes as an embedded SIM that lets you activate a line without a physical card, and a "Switch to eSIM" link. We could not read the activation steps, the price, or whether a tourist can use it.

What do you need to register an e& SIM?

We did not find a statement of documents for foreigners on any page we could read. Take your passport to an e& store and ask.

e& Egypt coverage and 5G

We could read no coverage or 5G claim from e&. Our own Egypt notes mention a 5G launch in 2025 across the market, but that is an unverified lead and not an e& statement. Check e&'s coverage map for your route.

e& Egypt versus a travel eSIM

An e& SIM means finding a store or kiosk after you land and paying in pounds. A travel eSIM is bought and installed before you fly. No travel eSIM provider except eSIMCard publishes a host network, so we do not say which uses e&. Our Egypt SIM card comparison and the cheapest eSIM page are the better starting points. For carriers with clearer visitor pages see Vodafone Egypt, Orange Egypt and WE, or return to the Egypt hub.

Common questions

Is e& Egypt the same as Etisalat Egypt?

Yes. e& Egypt is the renamed Etisalat Egypt, and the carrier's own pages still show both names. The old etisalat.eg address still appears in places. Older reviews or guides calling it Etisalat refer to the same operator.

Does e& Egypt have a tourist SIM?

A search extract of e&'s Traveling to Egypt page described four traveler bundles, from EGP 200 for 7 GB to EGP 600 for 40 GB, but the page would not open for us and may be outdated. Check e&'s current page or a store for prices.

Can I get an e& Egypt eSIM?

e& Egypt's site lists an eSIM service and a Switch to eSIM option. We could not read the steps, price or whether tourists can buy one, so ask an e& store or customer service before relying on it.

What do I need to register an e& Egypt SIM card?

We did not find a document list for foreigners on any e& page we could read. Bring your passport to an e& store and ask what they require for a visitor line.

Is an e& Egypt SIM better than a travel eSIM?

We could not verify enough about e&'s current visitor offer to say. A travel eSIM can be installed before departure, while an e& SIM must be collected in Egypt. Compare options on our Egypt SIM card page.
