Saily in Colombia: we had it cheapest everywhere, and it is dearest everywhere

What Saily sells in Colombia

Five plans, one short and four running a full month. All five were read off Saily's own site on 18 August 2026.

Every figure moved upward, and the 10GB row moved by ten dollars. That plan was the one this page recommended most warmly.

Hotspot tethering is supported. There are no calls or SMS on any plan — data only, with WhatsApp doing the work.

The ranking this page carried was exactly backwards

An earlier version said Saily was "the cheapest listing in our Colombia data at 3GB, 5GB, 10GB and 20GB — every metered size it sells". On verified prices it is the dearest at every one of them.

Nomad is cheapest at all four sizes, by margins from $1.99 to $5. Airalo is second at all four. Saily is last at all four.

The one thing that survives from the old page is the shape of Saily's curve: the rate does stop improving near the top, falling only from $3.00 to $2.05 between 10GB and 20GB. But the reason that mattered — that Saily's top end was still the cheapest available — has gone.

The one cent, and where it does not apply

At 20GB Saily charges $40.99 against Airalo's $41. That single cent is Saily's standard move against Airalo, and it shows up in 75 of the 145 30-day sizes the two share across the countries we have verified.

Colombia is one of the places where it does not hold at the smaller sizes: Saily's 3GB is $2.49 above Airalo's, its 5GB $0.99 above, its 10GB $1.99 above. Saily is not shadowing Airalo here so much as sitting above it.

Against the rest of the Colombia field

At 1GB, Saily's $4.99 over seven days is beaten by Nomad's verified $4.00 over the same seven days and by Airalo's $4.50 over seven or $4.00 over three. This page previously called Saily's entry price "the lowest 7-day entry price we hold for this country"; it is the highest of the three verified ones.

Where Saily has nothing to offer is the top and the very short end. It sells no plan above 20GB — the only 50GB plan for Colombia in our data is Airalo's, at $49 and under a dollar a gigabyte — and no unlimited product, so a heavy month or a data-hungry three-day stop both point somewhere else.

The network we cannot confirm

Saily publishes no host network for Colombia. An earlier version of this page said its listing pointed to Claro and Movistar Colombia on the smaller plans; nothing we hold supports that attribution and we have removed it. Airalo and Nomad name no carrier either, so the honest answer to "which carrier will I get" is that we do not know and no product page settles it.

Colombia is a country where that gap has teeth in specific places rather than everywhere. Bogotá, Medellín, Cartagena and the routes between them are well served whatever you buy. The problems are localised: interior trails in Tayrona National Park have dead zones, Leticia has signal while the surrounding jungle has none, and parts of the eastern Llanos and the Andean walking routes above 3,000m drop out entirely.

If your trip depends on coverage in one of those, no travel eSIM will guarantee it, because none of them commits to a carrier. A local prepaid SIM will — Colombia asks for no ID at all, so you pay and walk out, and an airport counter runs about $10. That also gets you a Colombian number, which no eSIM here includes.

Verdict

There is no size at which we would now recommend Saily for Colombia. Nomad is cheaper at all five, on prices both sellers have had read off their own sites, and Airalo is cheaper at four of them.

That is the reverse of what this page said a week ago, and the reason is entirely on our side: the Saily prices it argued from were internal estimates, and all five were too low. Full provider comparison on the Colombia hub.
