There is no eSIM Go price for Austria, and no way to get one

There is no eSIM Go row in our Austria data, and there is nothing for you to go and look up either. eSIM Go sells wholesale to resellers rather than to travellers. We checked esim-go.com on 18 August 2026: no consumer price anywhere on the site, no basket, no checkout — the button says Contact Sales — and no per-country consumer pages, which return 404.

So the older advice on this page, that eSIM Go's own product page was the reliable source for its Austrian pricing, pointed at a page that does not exist. It has been withdrawn. Two things follow. The earlier listing's claim that eSIM Go's Austria product supports hotspot tethering was never checkable and is now moot. And our data records no host network for eSIM Go in Austria — the company has no consumer page on which it could name one, and neither Airalo, Nomad, Saily nor Holafly names a carrier for any country on theirs. Treat any page that names one flatly as guessing.

What an Austrian plan is worth

This is the benchmark. Airalo's rows below were read off its own site on 13 August 2026, Nomad's off its own on 17 August 2026 and Saily's off its own on 18 August 2026. The Holafly rows came from Holafly's own site, read on 18 August 2026.

The floor in Austria is low. Saily's 1GB/7-day plan is $1.99, now read off Saily's own site, and Airalo's entry point is $4.00 for 1GB over three days on Servus Austria. An earlier version of this table carried Saily's 3GB at $6.99 and its 10GB at $18.99, neither of which Saily charges; the real figures are $5.99 and $10.99, and the 10GB error was eight dollars. At the volume end, Airalo's Servus Austria 50GB month at $29 is the cheapest data in the country at around 58 cents a gigabyte. An earlier version of this page said Nomad matched it. It does not — Nomad's 50GB month is $45, read off Nomad's own site — so $29 is the number to beat for a longer stay.

Holafly is the outlier, selling only unlimited-data plans: $20.50 for five days, $36.50 for ten, $50.50 for fifteen and $73.90 for thirty. Holafly sells six windows and no others — 3, 5, 7, 10, 15 and 30 days — so the 90-day plan this page used to list does not exist. Those are indicative figures too. On a two-week trip you are paying roughly $3.13 a day for not having to think about your allowance, against about 53 cents a day for Airalo's verified Servus Austria 20GB month. Holafly publishes nothing either. This page used to point at A1, Magenta and Drei on its behalf, which came from our own data; Holafly publishes no host carrier for any country — we read its prices for 28 of them off esim.holafly.com on 18 August 2026 and not one names an operator.

Which Airalo package you are comparing against

The Airalo rows above are all from Servus Austria, the cheaper of the two Austria packages Airalo sells. The other is Servus Austria+, and it carries the same allowances at higher prices: 1GB over three days is $4.00 as Servus Austria and $5.50 as Servus Austria+, 3GB over three days is $5.50 against $7.50, 5GB over 15 days is $7.50 against $10.00, and 50GB over 30 days is $29.00 against $36.50. Those are two separate products sitting side by side, not a pricing error. What the premium buys is not stated by Airalo, so if you see the higher number on Airalo's site, check the package name — the benchmark on this page is the plain Servus Austria price.

Coverage: the part no provider fixes

Austria's weak spots are geographic, and they hit every eSIM equally because they all roam onto the same three networks. Expect trouble on high Alpine terrain above roughly 2,000 metres — off-piste ski areas and high hiking ridges in particular. Narrow deep valleys in Tyrol and Styria drop signal, as do some mountain areas along the German border. No provider's marketing changes any of that.

In Vienna, Salzburg, Graz and Innsbruck, and along the motorway and rail corridors between them, the practical difference between providers is close to zero.

The alternative: buy a local SIM

A physical SIM from A1 Telekom Austria, Magenta Telekom or Drei runs around $15 at the airport. You will need your passport or ID card to register it, which rules out a grab-and-go purchase if you have left your documents in the hotel safe.

And if you live in the EU or EEA, check your home plan first. Roam-like-at-home means your normal allowance usually works in Austria at domestic rates, and buying anything at all may be wasted money. Verdict

There is no eSIM Go plan to recommend or warn you off, in Austria or anywhere else: it is a wholesale supplier to other brands, not a shop. If you see an unfamiliar app or travel brand selling an Austrian eSIM, it may well be running on wholesale capacity from eSIM Go or a competitor — but the price will be whoever put their name on it, and these are the numbers to hold it against.

The bar in Austria is roughly $0.58 per gigabyte on a 50GB month and $2.00 per gigabyte on a small short plan, both from verified Airalo Servus Austria rows. Saily's verified 10GB month at $10.99 is the cheapest of its size. Anything that does not beat those has nothing to offer you, because hotspot support is standard across the market.
