eSIM Go in South Korea: the cheapest 10GB we hold, and it is not for sale

The cheapest figure on the page is not an option

Our South Korea data holds an eSIM Go row at $17 for 10GB over 30 days, and it sits below every verified 10GB price in the country. Earlier versions of this page said so and left readers to draw the obvious conclusion.

The conclusion does not hold, because eSIM Go sells wholesale to resellers rather than to travellers. Checked on 18 August 2026, esim-go.com carries no consumer price anywhere. There is no basket and no checkout — the button says Contact Sales — and no per-country consumer pages: the country URLs return 404. A figure you cannot pay is not a cheaper option, it is a different kind of thing altogether, and ranking it against Airalo and Nomad was never a fair comparison. The two rows we hold

Nothing under 3GB, nothing above 10GB, no unlimited plan, one duration. Both are unverifiable, because there is no published consumer price to read them against.

The $17 also looks less like a Korean price the wider you look. The same $17 for 10GB sits in our eSIM Go rows for Australia, France, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Spain, Thailand and the United States — nine countries at an identical figure. The $9 for 3GB repeats in five. Wholesale costs in Seoul and São Paulo are not the same number to the cent; a template is.

The KT listing was ours

This page once said eSIM Go named KT as its Korean host network, and treated that as a reason to prefer it. eSIM Go named nothing — it has no consumer page on which it could. KT came from this site's own generated corpus.

Nobody publishes a Korean carrier. We read Airalo's, Nomad's, Saily's and Holafly's own country pages on 17 and 18 August 2026 and none of them names an operator anywhere. Our eSIMCard row for Korea carried SKT, and that came from this site's own generated text rather than from eSIMCard. It has been withdrawn along with the price.

In practice South Korea is one of the easier countries for this to matter least. Coverage is dense and fast almost everywhere a visitor goes, including the metro tunnels; the thin spots are mountain trails in the national parks and some of the smaller islands.

What to buy in South Korea

The local option

A Korean prepaid SIM runs about $20 at Incheon and requires a passport at registration. It gets you a Korean number, which no travel eSIM here does, and that matters more in Korea than in most places because so many local services verify by SMS.

Verdict

There is nothing to buy. The $17 that made eSIM Go look like the cheapest Korean 10GB is a row in our dataset for a product that is not retailed, and the KT line that made it look better documented than its rivals was written by this site rather than by eSIM Go.
