eSIM Go in Germany: no checkout, no consumer price, and a Telekom claim we invented

What eSIM Go actually is

A wholesale platform. eSIM Go sells wholesale to resellers — travel brands, apps and MVNOs that put their own name on the product — and does not retail to travellers. Checked on 18 August 2026, esim-go.com carries no consumer price anywhere, has no basket and no checkout, says Contact Sales where a shop says Buy now, and has no per-country consumer pages: the country URLs return 404.

So the two German figures below cannot be verified, and not because we have not got round to them. There is no published price to check. The full finding is on our eSIM Go platform page.

The two rows we hold

No 1GB starter, nothing above 10GB, no unlimited option, and one duration. They are kept here rather than deleted because this site published them for months as prices you could pay.

The Telekom claim was ours, not eSIM Go's

Earlier versions of this page said eSIM Go's own listing named Telekom, and treated that as one of the two sellers in Germany that would tell you the network.

It named nothing. eSIM Go has no consumer page on which it could name anything. The Telekom entry came from this site's generated corpus, in the same way as the German carriers we had attributed to Holafly's listing and then failed to find anywhere on Holafly's site when we read it on 18 August 2026.

We read Airalo's, Nomad's and Saily's country pages on the same round. None of them publishes a host carrier either, in Germany or anywhere else. Nobody in this market tells you which network you land on.

German coverage does have gaps worth planning around — rural Bavaria and the Black Forest, stretches of long-distance rail particularly in the east, some sections of Autobahn. If your trip depends on signal along a specific rural route, a German prepaid SIM bought from the carrier you want is the only reliable answer. It costs about $15 at an airport counter, and German SIMs are registered against ID, so bring your passport.

What Germany actually costs

Nomad leads every metered size in Germany on checked prices, with Airalo's verified $16 and Saily's verified $16.99 next at 10GB. Above 10GB the eSIM Go rows had nothing at all: if you tether a laptop, Saily's verified 20GB month is $22.99 and Airalo's verified 50GB is $36.

eSIMCard is a different case, and worth keeping separate. esimcard.com has a working checkout, so its prices are ones a traveller can pay; ours were wrong, and all 78 rows were withdrawn on 18 August 2026 once we read its site. eSIM Go's rows are prices that cannot be paid at all.

Should you buy anything at all?

If your phone contract is from an EU or EEA country, no. Roam-like-at-home covers Germany on your existing allowance, and nothing here beats free.

If you are arriving from outside the EU, a travel eSIM is worth the money — from a seller with a checkout.

Verdict

There is nothing to buy from eSIM Go, and the ranking that once placed its $18 a dollar above Saily's verified $16.99 has been withdrawn: it compared a wholesale rate card with retail shops. The Telekom line has gone too, as our invention rather than eSIM Go's claim.
