Telia Denmark SIM card: the Telia pages now point to Norlys
Telia Denmark's eSIM page now redirects to Norlys. The Norlys pages we read cover subscriptions, with no prepaid or tourist SIM.
Is there still a Telia Denmark SIM card to buy?
The Telia name is on its way out of Denmark's consumer pages. When we requested Telia's eSIM page on 8 October 2026, telia.dk returned a permanent redirect to the same topic on norlys.dk, and the Norlys pages carry the mobile service. Telia's homepage refused our request, so we cannot quote what it says. A Telia Denmark SIM card is therefore bought, as far as we can tell, as a Norlys mobile subscription.
What does Norlys say about SIM and eSIM?
Norlys's eSIM page says an eSIM is activated on the phone with no physical card. You order it in Mit Norlys: choose Abonnement, click "Bestil eller aktivér SIM-kort" and select eSIM. The page does not state a price, activation time or ID requirement, and it does not mention prepaid.
The Norlys SIM card page explains the three SIM sizes (standard, micro, nano) and says Norlys sells a triple SIM that you punch out to fit. To collect a new SIM in a Norlys shop rather than wait for the post, your name must be on the contract and you must bring valid photo ID such as a driving licence or passport. That is about subscribers; it is not a tourist route.
What about Telia prepaid, coverage and Telia Denmark 5G?
We found no prepaid or tourist SIM on the pages we could read. We also found no coverage, 4G or 5G statement on them, so we do not repeat the claim in our network notes that Telia leads on 5G. Treat that as an unverified lead.
What should a visitor do?
Ordering through Mit Norlys implies a customer account tied to a subscription, and the pages do not describe a visitor option. For a short stay a travel eSIM installed before you fly is the safer plan. The other networks are on the 3 Denmark, TDC / YouSee and Telenor Denmark pages. Our Denmark SIM card comparison lays out the practical options, where to buy a SIM card in Denmark covers the shops, and the Denmark hub has the rest. Travel eSIM prices are on the cheapest eSIM page.
Common questions
Is a Telia Denmark SIM card now sold by Norlys?
Telia's eSIM page on telia.dk permanently redirects to norlys.dk, and the Norlys pages carry the mobile service, so the consumer brand appears to have moved to Norlys. Telia's homepage refused our request, so we could not read its own announcement.
Does Telia Denmark sell prepaid SIM cards?
We found no prepaid or tourist SIM on the Telia or Norlys pages we read. The Norlys eSIM and SIM pages cover subscriptions. Check Norlys directly for current products. A travel eSIM is the verified route for a short stay.
How do I get a Norlys eSIM?
Log in to Mit Norlys, choose Abonnement, click "Bestil eller aktivér SIM-kort" and select eSIM. The page does not give a price, an activation time or an ID requirement, so check those with Norlys.
Can I collect a Telia or Norlys SIM in a shop?
Norlys says you can collect a new SIM in a shop if your name is on the contract and you bring valid photo ID, such as a driving licence or passport. It is described for existing contracts, not as a tourist purchase.
Does Telia Denmark have the best 5G?
We cannot confirm that. Our network notes say so, but we did not find any Telia or Norlys page we read that states 5G coverage or speed. Check the operator's coverage map and independent tests before choosing on that basis.
