Telenor Denmark SIM card: what the eSIM page says and what it leaves out

Telenor Denmark offers a free eSIM through Mit Telenor. The page we read does not mention prepaid, visitors or ID.

Is a Telenor Denmark SIM card useful to a visitor?

We could not confirm that it is. Telenor Denmark's eSIM page describes an eSIM for subscription customers, and it does not mention prepaid cards, tourist SIMs or visitors. A Telenor Denmark SIM card for a short stay may exist elsewhere on its site, but we did not find it on 8 October 2026.

How does the Telenor Denmark eSIM work?

Telenor's eSIM page says an eSIM is free, including a replacement after a lost phone, and that a replacement is ready within a few minutes. You order it in Mit Telenor under the subscription it is for. An email titled "Aktiver eSIM" follows, and you scan the QR code on Mit Telenor or in that email. The QR code works only once; if it fails, order a new one or call 72 100 100. iPhone users can also convert a physical SIM with the phone's SIM Transfer.

The phone must support eSIM, and the page says many newer phones do. It states no ID requirement, and it does not say whether you can order without a Danish subscription. Because ordering goes through Mit Telenor, assume a Danish customer account is needed unless Telenor says otherwise.

What about Telenor Denmark prepaid and coverage?

The eSIM page does not mention a Telenor Denmark prepaid product. We found no prepaid or tourist SIM page, so we cannot give prices or registration rules. Likewise the page makes no 4G or 5G claim, so we cannot report Telenor's own coverage statement. Our network notes describe a shared tower network between Telenor and Telia, but we have not verified that on Telenor's site and leave it out.

What should a visitor do?

For a short stay the dependable choice is a travel eSIM set up before you fly, with no Danish account needed. If you want to see Telenor's current visitor offers, ask Telenor directly. The other Danish networks are on the 3 Denmark, TDC / YouSee and Telia Denmark pages. Our Denmark SIM card comparison lays out the practical options, where to buy a SIM card in Denmark covers the shops, and the Denmark hub has the rest. Travel eSIM prices are on the cheapest eSIM page.
