Saily in Croatia: cheapest at the door, beaten by Nomad above it

Five plans, and only one of them is the cheapest of its size

This page used to say Saily sold two Croatian plans. It sells five. The three we did not list run all the way to 20GB, and the 3GB month is a dollar cheaper than we had it. Where we compare against Airalo below, those prices were read directly from Airalo on 13 August 2026, and Nomad's from its own site on 17 August 2026.

The $3.99 plan is the real product

At $3.99 for 1GB over seven days, Saily is the cheapest Croatia eSIM in our data. The nearest rivals are Airalo at $4.00 for 1GB over three days and Nomad at $4.00 for 1GB over seven. A penny cheaper for the same week is thin, but it is the cheapest thing in the market and for a certain kind of trip it is the right buy.

That trip is a week on the coast where the apartment, the café and the ferry terminal all have wi-fi, and the phone data is for maps between them, messages, a boarding pass and the occasional look-up. 1GB covers that comfortably. It does not cover video calls home, Instagram stories from the beach, or streaming anything.

The listing we hold also says hotspot tethering is supported. On a 1GB plan it is close to irrelevant, but it does mean you could point a laptop at it for a boarding pass or a booking confirmation in a pinch.

One step up, Nomad takes over

Nomad is cheaper at all four sizes, by a dollar at 3GB and by seven at 20GB, and Airalo is cheaper at three of them. Croatia is the market where Saily's corrected prices help it least: they are lower than we used to publish but still the highest of the three at every metered size above 1GB.

Above 20GB Saily sells nothing. Croatia's best value at volume is Nomad's checked 50GB for thirty days at $31, or $0.62 per gigabyte, with Airalo's $35 close behind.

The network claim, and what it is worth

Saily publishes no host network for Croatia. An earlier version of this page said its listing named HT; nothing we hold supports that attribution and we have removed it.

We are unusually firm about this. Nobody in this market publishes a host network at all: Airalo, Saily, Nomad and Holafly name no carrier in any country, and the three Croatian operators our data once showed against Holafly's rows came from our own older text rather than from Holafly. Choosing a travel eSIM on the basis of which Croatian carrier it supposedly uses means choosing on the basis of marketing copy. If the network genuinely matters to you, buy a local prepaid SIM from A1 Hrvatska or Telemach — around $11 at the airport, passport required for registration — where you know exactly what you are on.

Coverage limits in Croatia are the same whoever sells you the plan: remote inland Lika and Gorski Kotar, some of the smaller offshore islands, the Velebit and Dinaric mountain areas away from main paths, and the deeper forest trails around Plitvice Lakes. Download offline maps before any of those.

Verdict

Buy Saily for Croatia if you want one week and about a gigabyte. At $3.99 it is the cheapest thing in the market and it beats Airalo's $4 three-day plan on validity.

Above that, buy Nomad. It undercuts Saily at 3, 5, 10 and 20GB on checked prices, by a dollar at the bottom and seven at the top, and Nomad's own 50GB month at $31 is the cheapest large plan in the country.
